Neil Mckenzie to be our new batting consultant.
Neil McKenzie, former South Africa batsman, is set to join the Bangladesh team in the West Indies as the batting consultant of the side. The 42-year old, who has represented South Africa in 124 matches, will take over the role from Thilan Samaraweera.
"We are expecting his arrival during the upcoming Test series against West Indies," a BCB spokesperson told Cricbuzz. "We are confident that his vast experience will help our team, and our batsmen in particular."
Bangladesh, who will be playing two Tests, three one-dayers and three T20Is against Windies, will begin their tour with a two-day practice game against WICB President XI on June 28. The first Test begins on July 4 at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.
Thus, McKenzie, who is expected to join the team from July 7, won't be available with the team for the first Test. He has previously served as the batting coach of South Africa, in two terms - in 2016 and

Excellent news. Appointing Gary Kirsten is working well in getting coaches.

He was an excellent batsman in his days, specially in the longer version. I hope our boys try to get the best from him.

Welcome to Bangladesh, Coach McKenzie.
Best of luck to the coach, the team and our batsmen. Hope our batsmen improve under his training along with our head coach's guidance.

I like it. Finally we have a coaching staff coming together. Need a fielding coach now and need a bowling coach after firing Walsh.
Will Neil be joining the team in West Indies?

Neil was in consideration even before Kirsten became the consultant. Good to see that we finally have a batting coach.

Crazy, none of the English dailies (DS, New Age, Tribune) have announced McKenzie. All are so obsessed with football.

Is this the role/job that Thilan Samaweera did with the BD team under Haturi?

I can't help but reference Jacques Rudolph's double ton as well.
The guy was a terrific accumulator; don't know why he was sacked.

Nonsense, take out his matches against a weak bangladesh and zims he barely averaged 30
He ran into poor form and technical deficiencies, took a kolpak deal at his peak and after he was given a second chance he did nothing bar a century (vs Australia?)
I liked the way he played, but he wasn't good enough in test cricket and that's a fact, you can say this and that, but he wasn't good enough for a strong South African team, another good domestic player who was found wanting at the very top.

u think this is crazy with the biggest tournament in sports going on?
This should be the norm even when the fifa wc is over. This pathetic unpatriotic cricket team should be the last priority for news agencies

Arrey Jeeshan bhaiya and Raat-kana Wolf apnara bujhen na, naki bujhe-o naa bojhar bhaan koren?
There are lots of coverage by BD English Newspaper on the FIFA world cup 2018, WHY?
Beacuse, it takes no effort to write about the matches, the events, the incidents, so on, so forth, WHY? Because, it's a piece of cake to plagiarize. All they do and have to do is copy another newspaper, web article or sport section from an international source without giving any credit!
Now, there is no news or coverage by BD newspaper on Neil Mckenzie, WHY?
Because it takes a lot of effort to write something from scratch about something that does not have anything written about somewhere else - which I could easily steal and print as mine!!

Maybe no one was there to take his interview as everyone was busy covering the world cup

They didn't organize any pre-match or post match press conference. That's very rare in an international series.
