On a serious note this is a good move by Bangladesh Biman. The amount of money they spend on one team is too much. They can be the title sponsor of DPL and it will cost them much less. But the problem will arise when the free tickets will go to CCDM official.

I fully concur with MohammadC. Let us see the positives. Heck players should chip in for tickets themselves. Khlebar chau? Magna khelbaa naki....faizlami.

I was afraid nadim not to read a word of it and go :scumb bcb:

i am not a big fan of biman though...the service they provided when i traveled to London was so bad experience i had in my life. I don't know why government made it a company. They became worse. Hate you biman.

Great News !!! So, Biman will lose less than this year ...

They are otherwise losing even as a cricket team.... even Ash (DOHS) beat them the other day ...

Maybe now they will focus on customer service, as well as timely arrivals/departures.

not a bad news at all.
Biman needs to focus on it's primary task.
If Biman was making money, I would justify the support of a Biman Cricket team.

I think the problem now that they have tied them self with Boeing in one of the biggest contract made by the country they cant put a foot wrong. They have to make sure they are not behind on the instalments. Hence they are cutting all the cost.

Once upon a time Biman was a mojor force in our cricket. Biman played a vital role of exposing many talented cricketers. Many famous cricketers such as Bulbul, Jahangir, Shanu, Prince, Dulu played there. Corruption is a different issue but not making a cricket team from next season is certainly an end of an era. Biman will be missed...

damn....nearly got a heart attack reading the thread title !

Btw, chopping off your head when you have headache cant be a solution. Who says to spend that amount of money and tickets to sell to players ? You can surely minimize the costs. At least these money are being used in a good cause (producing cricketer and providing employment). Millions of TK. is being wasted on government officials and political parties- then where's their sense of profit ?
