The best "jharudar" in Bangladesh cricket

Ok. This was intended to be a poll. However, I thought that with so many candidates, it would probably be better if I let the discussion flow.

Who, in your opinion, is the best jharudar in bangladesh cricket? The term "jharu" refers to a half sweep half flick off the pads that completely lacks technique.

IMO, it could be Nannu. A better cabdidate would be Rafique. However, Jahangir Alam Dulu (in the early 90's) was well known for "reverse - jharu" -ing fast bowlers.

So, who is your man?

Bulbul is the paddle guy. Boitha wala not jharudar.

nannu was the best sweeper. infact i think he was the best player of spin Bd ever had.

even in this team we dont have a batsman who can hit the spinners out of the attack.

bulbul is probably the best at any kind of "jharudari". Pilot seems to have mastered this skill too!

Ameture - I have a frd (name Tutu) is the best Jharudar I ever seen.

Professional - Bulbul for BD, Steve Waugh (slog sweep) for Austrlia.

God, that Waugh slog-sweep is the ugliest shot I have ever seen in my life.

A good contender would be Tendulkar's coming in on rising balls outside off stump, let the ball get about chest high and then lay that UGLY wristy jab to turn it toward mid wicket. A thinking, inventive shot, but god does it look ugly. The way Tendulkar moves with his fat legs, extends his short, fatty arms and then jabs it like a koshai. What an unorthodox, ugly shot! I am getting the hibijibi even thinking about it.

jharudari is very common in parar cricket though - a very easy shot to play. wonder if thats the reason why sub continent batsmen are so good off the pads?

Thanks for that brilliantly drawn mental picture, I was about to sit down for lunch... My candidate would be Mushtaque (Mohd.). He had some wonderful reverse sweeps in Dhaka when he visited as a member of PIA after retirement in the late 80's.

*** he was a good jharudar indeed (i saw him althrough from 85 to 99). But most of his stroke was behind square.. not in the V.. Still I shall probably agree that he is the best ever in spin. But as far as hitting the spinner out of attck: there was only one man: Akram Khan of 91 to 95.. did it many many times.
