I used to drive a Montero Sport but was forced to switch to a 2005 Dodge Neon SXT (last of that breed) after a crash. Now I save on gas but miss all that space. My dream car is the BMW M6 .. u know .. if I dream why be stingy .. lol! I'll probably settle for a Land Rover or Jeep Grand Cherokee probably in couple of years.
As for Toyota, I do have a '96 Corolla. Those cars last a looooong time!

Good one - xavier!!
Years back, when I first landed in remote town in Iowa, I bought a station wagon (Plymouth - Volere 1977 model ) for $400 bucks. ran great though. After moving down south (still in my college years) bought a used 1986 Isuzu Impala sports (Engine made by Lotus). That was really the campus attraction. Then got a job bought Corolla (96 still driving), got married bought a second one 02 Camry (boring - family expanded what can I say).
I'd like to get my hands on one of them Lexus.

i am 2 yrs away from being allowed to drive.
i think my first car, will be a cheap one.
i'd love to own a nice dodge challenger or a cadillac escalade.
realistically, i hope a 1999 nissan skyline gt-r is available when i grow up and inshallah when i get a job.
i would own a honda accord or a mitusbishi 3000gt (they cost like 2850 b.pound).
OR, i may go 2 america and by a car from there, i heard its cheap when u got pounds?

Don't own a car at the moment. Nevertheless I am a car freak. Me and one of my friend has been doing researches on sports cars since we were kids. Research as in what is the best. And let me share this with you, when you talk about speed Japanese cars are at the top, you can buy a Nissan Z / SKyline or Toyota Supra and modify it to beat the Mclaren. Infact, Modified Supra has quite sometimes beaten Mclarern.
I would never really buy a sports unless in future I become really rich. Anyways, here are my cars.
Favorite Car: Toyota Supra
Past Dream Car: Lamborghini
Present Dream Car: Lexus LF-A - Japanese Super Car(still to come in the market, willbe priced around $150,000- 200,000). Has V10 engine, will be powered with 500-600 BHP and 900 RPM.
Want to have: Toyota Land Cruiser - the King of SUVs.
BTW I am a Toyota Fan.

are bapre....shobai dekhi shobar dream car er golpo shunay amake ghum paray ditese....(hehe)
living in Canada tax & insurance is a pretty big issue here so I have to be reasonable with my choice (hehe Audi, beamer,Aston martin eishob to shopne chalai, eibar reality te chalanor jonno kisu dorkar).
With the little research I did on the auto market so far, I narrowed my options to 'Non-US' cars. The interior of the cars made by GM is in one word, 'joghonno' compared to their japanese counterparts. But thats totally based on my limited knowledge on cars. What do u say?

Right you are. GM is losing it. In canada their profit has declined and are in loss. Toyota, Honda and other Japanese manufacturer are taking over GM's and Ford's market.

Looks like I'm only one driving big three here? A 2002 Saturn SL1. Interesting thing is, I'm off those rarest kind who buys a brand new car as his/her first car with their own money

Ehsan is very right, this is also true in U.S. Market. GM and Ford took huge loss last 2-3 years in North America (funny they made profit in Asia! But compared to loss here that's drop in the bucket). Each announced thousands of job cuts. Toyota has been the winner in this race till now, outclassing the big 3 americans even in SUV class. Ford is so desperate they are investing big time on hybrids. I can't wait to see the Hummer and a tiny prius-like hybrid in the same GM catalog soon .. lol!!
I think German cars are the best but if u consider a combo package (cost, fuel, power) toyota probably has the most variety to offer.

Not so rare Rubu - I think most of us who did not buy a car during their undergrad - and this happens often on urban campuses - buy our first car when we start our jobs. I know scores of Bangladeshi's whose first car was new, paid out of own pocket and usually a decent one
And yes, I'm not just the president, I'm also a client!

Did anyone checkout the 2007 Toyota Camry (on the web I mean, cuz I think its yet to hit the market)? Its looks great with its elegant styling, BMW type back lights and body structure, very catchy interior with the unbeatable Japanese fuel economy.
As a whole its just superb and it makes its US counterparts (Chevy Impala or those Ford Junks) look really terrible....

and about the whole hybrid revolution..... a decent hybrid car is still beyond the reach of common people, if someone can afford a car for $35K+ he can well afford the fuel for it.....
