Default World Cup Match Thread || Bangladesh vs Pakistan 5th of July 2019

It’s never a dead rubber when it’s Bangladesh vs Pakistan. It will be Mashrafe’s last World Cup match. Probably be last wc for many others.
No information necessary. Delete or merge if there is already a match thread created.

Let’s have a good match.......

Mone onek onek koshto niye khelbe shobai. This is an emotional game at so. many. levels.

1) Mashrafe Last Match
2) We exited from World cup already
3) Last World cup 2019 match
4) you can probably see it in the faces of fans and players..Bangla proverb: "Mukh ta onek chun"///English translation: very glum faces.. I am very sure fans will be very loud and cheering everything but deep inside Everybody hurting, including myself...

5) Game against Pakistan.

There is no pressure per say, but there is plenty of emotion and complex...it's kinds hard to explain but i think you get the picture. Even though if we win (and why not?) it wouldn't feel as satisfying as it should knowing we could have done much much much better than what we promised(but the rest of the world still underrates us).....

Let's see how all of these above mention factors affect the boys in Red and Green

Give it up for Shakib al Hasan for being an amazing player and an amazing ambassador of the game. Probably the best allrounder ever to not have any major trophy in his cabinet. The stats speak for themselves...

Compare him with Jaques Kallis, Ian Botham, Kapil Dev, Imran khan and you tell me which stats are superior....it's a subjective debate and because they are all different players of different eras and different circumstances it's not exactly an apples to apples comparison.

The Least Bangladesh can do for Shakib is at least win an Asia cup. so let's target that....

Thank you MohammadC bro for opening this thread, When I was in England (I think Nottingham) Stadium i saw you on the big screen .

1) Mashrafe Last Match
Are we sure about that? Mash looked far away from the selfless guy he is known to be in this WC. Many times he looked utter selfish and thinking about him than the team

I won't be surprised if he plays another series in BD to retire

Key will be how we negotiate Amir and Shaheen.

Tamim and SS, if they want to prove they are worth anything on the big stage, this match is their last opportunity.

Wahab Riaz can be deadly too when he wants to be. It remains to be seen which Pakistan turns up against Bangladesh.

Miraz should play. He did not too bad against Pakistan in Asia cup 2018. Almost the same exact squad is playing tomorrow except the bowlers and batters are in good form.

Tamim should play the way he feels most comfortable. He should derive a lot of confidence with his record against Pakistan(even though it was in Dhaka but still). he could use that psychological boost. Tamim is still a class player too good to not cash out in world cup.

First thing win the toss and you would eliminate the paks from wc and then win match and give them double whammy.

Last edited by Night_wolf; July 5, 2019 at 03:56 AM.. Reason: Mod.edit: don't use paki, read forum rules
