Default Do you want SN to be shifted down to the middle order?

In my opinion, SN has technical problems for playing as a test opener due to his problem facing moving new balls. As he is a very good player of spin, I suggest him to be in the middle order in test cricket. Pick up your choice.

i don't want him to be dropped and yes, i do want him to be brought back to the middle order.

however if he continues formless then it is nothing but wasted "so called talent".

his talent is pointless for our team if he gets out too cheaply all the time...

I feel he can be tried in the middle order, he seems to have problems with the new ball and can be demoted in the order for the next match where Vaas is not taking part. It could turn out to be fruitful decision.

I'm a firm believer in SN and I have no hesitation in acknowledging that he has some glaring technical flaws, but they can be corrected. Considering him destined to be another Shahriar Biddyut/Mehrab Opee would be wrong, and therefore I for one would continue to support him being given a part in the national team in both ODIs and Tests. Now as for his batting position, bring him down in the middle order, let him get his touch back, and then he can go bak to opening. And I think that its a possibility in both ODIs and Tests.

Good thinking. In fact virtually Rajin is opening the innings with early fall of wicket.

Exactly my thoughts Ialbd.
What do you mean by "brought back"?
When was the last time he played in the middle order??

I think He should fix his technical problems first and if needed he can bat in the middle order but I think that he should bat where he thinks he is comfortable and where the coach thinks is the right place for him. But for now he really needs to fix his technicality and get his form back!!

I see only one place for SN in the team - as an openin batsman. Be it Tests or ODI, he fit in there. He's not in the right mode at the moment...and so should take some time off from international cricket...play and practice regulary, and then come back with another bang...
notice the word "another" here.

He played four innings at number 4 against Srilanka in 2005 and scored 27, 38, 9 and 6.

I wouldn't mind SN in the middle order, especially because I would want Mushfiq and Ash to play higher up in the order. How about:

Javed Omar
Mehrab Hossain Jr.
Rajin Saleh
Mohammed Ashraful
Mushfiqur Rahim
Shahriar Nafees
Tushar Imran/ Habibul Bashar
And the 4 bowlers.

I know it's risky to open with Mehrab, but he's a natural opener and we can give it a shot, plus we can use his bowling withour Sakib on the team. In this case, Ash and Mehrab would be the 5th and 6th option.

SN is a unique case.

After Alok, he is the only other BD player with whom i had high hopes and have been proved wrong.

I am not willing to give up yet.

Someone who is out of form should be dropped immediately. Let him play in the league and get the form back. "National team is not where you will do all the permutation and combination for some player to get his form back."

He is a good batsman.. he can be tried in the middle, this will help him score some runs as we know or proved that he is weak with the new ball movement..

Although selectors never care about our opinions..

I dont see my view in the poll options. Here's what I think:

SN is no more out-of-form. He has actually started scoring again. Right now... his problem is 'overconfidence'. He's being over-attacking and right now he should be kept out of next match strictly for 'disciplinary' (!) reasons and he should be clearly told the reason.... so that he realizes his responsibilities for the team!!

Ah... nops! Cant add my views in your poll. That can only be done if you yourself think that it is an option and you want to add it. BTW... while creating any poll, its good to leave an option as "Other views: Please explain". That keeps a safeguard against late-realizations.

Thanks. I really thing to add the option as "Other views: Please explain" now. Can you please do it for me now? This option is really needed to know other views.

Is there any player in our BD team who doesn't have problems in moving ball? please do consider openers cant give you always solid start. SN is a opener, who do you want to change? if he fails in middle order what will you say? answer is: SN is even not good for middle order. wont you say that?
