Default Is Ashraful not regretting?

Ashraful have already missed one superb chance to play a good knock in the first ODI vs. kenya.. and in the 2nd ODI, he could not even come to bat. In the remaining 2 ODI's he may not click well in more than one matches.. or BD may not win the toss to get the chance to bat first.

This might become a great chance missed for Ash.. since he comes to bat lower down the order. Is he not regretting now for not putting up a good score in first ODI?

He should! Not all the time he will face such bowling lineup.

But i am happy that he is not scoring. We may see him doing his thing against Braken and big mouth Warne.

My thoughts are that Ashraful and Bashar are now enjoying their time - no pressure to score, no pressure of situation like - 2/3 wickets down early in the first 5 overs, no pressure of getting the team to struggle for 200 odd runs in ODIs.

However, there is a bad side to it. In the next 2 ODIs, or in the next series against Australia, Javed/Nafees/Aftab will/might not be able to score much, which will force Ashraful-Bashar to be short of match-practice.

Exactly fwullah, Ash and Bahsar are the big moment men. They have to take the main act against the aussies. And in the meantime let other batsmen get some chances to score runs to keep their confidence up for the aussie series.

well that was i was going to say too. if he is a good batsman with a lot of class i dont think he will regret for not playing a certain team. because for him playing australia and playing kenya should be the same. he should perform well against australia too. so there is no reason for him to regret. these matches are for players like javed to perform well and bring their averages up. because this is the best opportunity they will ever get to do that.

there is no point of messing up the batting order.

if the kenyans keep playing like this, I can say this won't wont sound cocky: Bd u19 will beat them in ragular basis.

I know what we have seen so far is not what kenyans capable of. but what they have showed so far is below our u19 level.

i think that we can mess up the order for the final 2 ODIs to get bashar and ash match practice.

although i really like aftab getting his SR up.

he might be the first BD batsman with a SR beyond 75 then 80

While it's true that Ash and Bash are missing practice at the wickets ... we should not mess up the batting order for that. Infact, it is a good opportunity to strengthen the JO/SN opening lineup ... so that we can stand firm against the Aussies from the beginning of a match.

While I miss a competitive series ... it's time for our top order to make up for the lost averages. There's nothing wrong in that as the big teams have made plenty of 'records' on us ...

It is very important that Bangladesh face the aussies with a high moral. Bangladesh is getting better every series from 2005 (apart from the Srilanka series in Srilanka). All the players are geeting the taste of success. Ash and Bashar is already proven horse for Bangladesh. So it might be a blessings in disguise that they are not getting that much chance to show their class against Kenya, it is giving the others the opportunity to be shaped properly and getting ready to face the mighty Aussies.

This what I feard would happen. Ash misses out yet on another occassion. And the level of concentration that he is showing... he will be lucky if he manages to have a good show in the last ODI.

He seems to have lost his natural game again.

it seems he's trying to be extra careful.. quite evident from how he brings his head down with every defensive shot early on.
and then.. out of nowhere, one rash shot pops up. I have to admit though... he's a tad unlucky .. coz his mishits end up in fielders hands more often than not. may be he should start picking some singles to calm his nerves when he comes in.

exactly he has pressure of scoring runs but he can not
take singles..he wants to play rush shots to open
his account...I don't he is just so unpredictable. But if
he does the same thing with Aussies, we won't score
even 150.
