Default razzak's dream come true???

just found out that ICC has approved a rule change from October 1. the new rule allows a third fielder to play outside the ring for 10 overs during the power plays.

Rahul Dravid felt this is good for India as they use spinners in the powerplays.

i feel, this will be good for us as abdur razzak bowls quite tidily in the power plays.

thoughts?

so too do i, not many teams play 3 spinners nowadays in ODIs - of course only abdur razzak bowls in powerplays and this is just for 10 overs. but still, i think we will benefit most amongst the test nations.

he will benefit but bearing in mind that retirement is any time soon, the team must not rely too much on rule changes.

...ditto. Now, we it might/would be more difficult for us to get new pacers as of spinner's success!!!

We are not talking about rafiqu, we are talking about razzak, he is only 23, he has atleats 12 years in him left for international cricket.

Al Furqaan,
Please edit your posts from Razzak to "Abdur Razzak"/ "Raj" / "lalla". Be the example.

I think Sakib is the one who would benefit from the rule. In places like NZ, Abdur Razzak may not be in the team. With four seamers this is very much possible.

true but bcb will never do that,as you see bangladesh has a very few bowlers who have the wicket taking ability because bd is very new in the world of cricket so not selecting a tight and wicket taking spinner will be a nightmare for us.

Hmmm... if that's true looks like Razzak's naightmare came true.

I suggest to change the title to Lalla's nightmare comes true?

why would razzak be left out

It seems you guys are forgetting that Razzak is ranked 2nd best ODI spinner in the world, 2nd only to murali
