Default Roller incident with Mashrafe

Just saw the video of Mashrafe injury by the roller hidden behind the billboard. The most frustration i have with BD people is that, what we can do with our limited infrastructure, we don't do. We always leave for band-aiding. This is our culture and we are derailing everyday. If this was a NZ player, probably the game would have been over and i am sure Vettori would take his players back. I know it is easy for us to criticize from far but this is absolutely unacceptable and these idiots ground workers should be fired immediately.

Rollers were put behind boundary line advertising boards. Mashrafee tried to get the ball back in with his feet like he usually does, (which is dangerous - for ankle injury), couldn't manage it and fell on the advertising board.

Obviously, he didn't see the rollers hidden behind the advertising boards, and almost had a serious accident when he fell over the advertising boards and the rollers.

yea i just saw it.. man.. what if something serious had happned?? i know it didn't.. but stil.. that was really bad.. and it was his left leg wasn't it?? which made it even worse.. i saw him lying on the ground..clutching his head in pain.. seriously, i feel like bunching the groundmen for this.. why did they keep it there?? what if something really serious had happened? what would we do then? when i saw it.. it made me feel sooooo bad.. i might have not felt this bad if t was someone else.. but where mashrafe's concerned, its different..

It was simply poor management from BCB, what if it was a kiwi player instead of Mash? Knowing the kiwis, I can confidently say that there would have been bright chances of this series getting canceled. Yesterday, they did not even come to the practice as there was some traffic congestion in the way to the stadium and did a u-turn to the team hotel en route to the ground. As far I'm concern, yesterday's traffic jam was nothing compared to the typical Dhaka jam as some people is yet to return from the Eid & Puja vacation. So, it clearly shows how rude and tough the kiwis are. I think BCB should take a lesson from this and prevent these things from happening in the future.

Its definitely poor management from BCB, someone should come forward and say 'sorry it won't happen again'.

There should be an investigation on this, If this incident ended Mashrafee's career, who would have taken the responsibility? It could have happen to anybody, if any NZ player would have victim of the incident, I think NZ would have then complained to ICC about the ability of BCB to organize an international cricket match.

Mashrafee is the Obama of Bangladeshi Cricket. Irreplacable - once in a generation player.

It was lucky for Mash not to get injured. Channel I reported that n Faruk had a chance to bash the management of the ground.

I'm sure the inspiration & examples Mash is creating with his performances, will give us even better pacers in future.

Mortaza was playing with braces on both knees - having had operations on them in the past - but hit the right line and length, troubling the batsmen with movement off the seam. "He does that for us day in and day out." Siddons said. "He doesn't always get the results because opposing teams tend to see him off and then attack the others, but today was his day." cricinfo

imagine his impeccable line and length wit braces....only if he was 100% fit

you can see the curies/worried faces behind Mash. "out of the whole serise? wont play again?is he ok? Allah Help him"
as you may have read on "from Stadium" thread, that every one was looking at Mash and 4got about the game when that happened.

a real Tiger Mash.
imagine if he was 100% fit? he would have had a 10W in Test and a 100 in both form of cricket by now
