Default So no Tendu for second innings?

http://www.bangladesherkhela.info/in...&editionID=920

The report says Tendu has hurt his left wrist. So how did it happen and when did it happen? I watched till tea and he was fine fielding in slip and gully.

Anyone knows what happened?

Dravid will not bat, UV doubtful, without Tendu Ind will be a little concern if BD puts up a decent score and take GG or Shewag out.

Tendu hurt himself while diving to take a Tamim catch.
He obviously failed to take it, just like the indian bowling today.
Not sure if he's out. No one reported about it yet, except probably BDK.

Dhoni.... in progress

j/k.... of course we dont want bad for any players, but this is like one of those situations where both victory and defeat from here on will be marked with the issue of all these players being injured....

I want Shahadat to throw a fireball at Shehwag's throat and hit him on the adam's apple.
That should take care of his big mouth for a while.

Missed Laxman and Sree who already left. Harbi has a bad neck.

Hope they all get well before SA comes visits. Too many games overall has seen Australia, Indian players getting injured too many times.

Much like India visiting the WI and only four fit batsmen were left standing in a second innings to face Garner, Roberts and Co. The rest all got injured to rising balls.

Let us take a lead of 300 runs first before counting on their injuries.

We can make it tough for Indians if we can take advantage of this 200 run partnership. Our in form batsmen are not on the crease yet. Tamim-Zunaid did the hard work. Ash needs to play like this is his last innings and hold together the batting. I am looking forward to today. I really am.

You are right about that. If we can do that, India won't have an easy task with so many batsmen hurt. First thing first though, build on this start and score a lot of runs.

200+ lead will be more than good enough. But that is still 300 runs away, and I don't that is happening unless the favorite punch bag of BC does something special again.

People may think this is crazy, yet, I am thinking for victory.

things changed dramatically when we lost the last 2 wickets..needed one of them to go on to entertain any thoughts of lasting through the fourth day. BD likely to be all out by tea with a 100 run lead that India chases down on the morning of the fifth. So getting to 400+ in the second innings will be a fine accomplishment in itself but I think BD will be very hard pressed to save this match and you guys are talking about winning. With so many players out, does India have enough reserves to put 11 on the field - what are the rules for that btw?

This performance won't matter if we don't capitalize on it. This is gonna be interesting to say the least. So far, the lower middle order mostly did the repair job in this series after the top orders mess. For the first time, their job description is different. I want to see if they can do it when the pressure is significantly less. However, the individual pressure on Ash and Raqib are huge, and if those two can provide solidity along with runs, Sakib-Riyad-Mushy can add a lot of runs.

Shahadat has big role too. Try to frustrate the Indian bowlers as long as he possibly can.

right on the money. On top of that after the initial 20 overs in the first session they will get a new ball. We have to bat all 90 overs tomorrow and 30/35 overs next day if we want to have a fighting chance to survive (draw).

Tendu and UV will bat if needed.

If only we didn't screw up batting in the 1st inning. We could have won.

Realistically, we'll set them a target of around a hundred runs which they will merrily hit their way to.

Pessimistically, we'll get bundled out below 300.

Optimistically, we'll set them 200 and get a couple of wickets before they make it.

Thinking like a Bangladesh fan, we'll crush them by a hundred runs.

My optimism of a win is deeply smeared by the fear of getting all out by lunch tomorrow without making India bat again.

Most likely what will happen though is BD taking a max lead of 100 runs and Ind openers chasing it down without any issues. Oh how I loved to be proved wrong.

Depends on BD's batting now, if they fail to score 83 runs today, then india does not have to bat again.

110% in agreement.

Funny as it may sound but a lot depends also on how Shahadat deals with it too. If he thinks that he is going to just hit the ball, he will start the collapse and Ashraful will soon follow...If he sticks around like he did with Mushfique, Riad... we can prevent a collapse. To expect that Riad//Mushfique will always deliver is a bit of strech.. But with the wicket having nothing in it and with the openers ( I dont count Imrul as one..) doing their part, it may be a motivation for the rest of the players to fight it out hard and bat all day. I know Sakib, Mushfique, Riad is capable of it... and thats the hope. The expecations that the Ullook Ashraful and Raqibul will deliver something is hope against hope..
