What Ashraful should do to enhance his performance?
In test cricket you have to get your eye in , maintain concentration, remain cool, stay out there as long as you can and not lose opportunity to strike loose deliveries.
Looks like Ashraful has forgotten these basics!
Remedy: Send him to India today for a crash course by Hasim Amla ( Amla will stay to replace injured Captain for the ODIs)
Should Ash lose this opportunity?

He is unable to enhance his performance.
This is the time for him to retire with dignity and get married.

He looked very nervous when he went out to bat in the second innings. I expected him to be out for a duck. He is being too cautious these days and not scoring any runs. He needs to quite this tuk-tuk cricket and play more like Tamim, Shakib, and Riyad. Playing aggressively is the way to go these days.

He can't improve : he does not have the ability , the best choice for him is to get retired from internation cricket

Lots and lots of first-class cricket.
If he plays 5 years in first-class cricket, he still has potentially 6 years as a Test player.

Go back and play first class crickets. Go and play on Grade cricket in Australia. He still has a bit of a name - use it to get some hard yakka yards in and refine his technique. He used to be an aggressive, get on the front foot guy to spinners. Now they keep getting him backed into the stumps.

nothing ......nothing can enhance his freaky performance since there he is no longer capable of evaluate him to sorta better player. look he has failed to job set by siddons. there is no hope for better performance. and returning to his good old attacking bating wont help team that much either. so rather lets find another no 3. a brand new solid one like Riyad !

Ashraful's postiion in the current line up is wrong. Give him another chnace at no 6 or 7 so he can really play his natural stroke game in particular in the last third of the ODI game He needs to play more like Tamim but should come in much later. Mahmudullah and Mushfiqur should come at number 3 and 4 respectively. Asharful is not suited for patient and over defensive play.

the best thing nw for ashrafool ( i mean hs name says it all ! ) is to lock him self up 4 few months sumwerr in the suburbs of dhaka and evaluate why is it dat he cannot learn from all the dumb mistakes hs has done in his career and onlyy afta finding the solution should he come back out and face the real world again
other then dat i thing bcb should give his place in the team to rakibul until further notice ., i mean atleast he tries to learn from his mistakes but itz just unfortunate dat his lacking in confidence @tm

1. Forget that he is called Ashraful, the talented boy and be a hard working man. (equals to getting married - as someone said)
2. Forget that he has talent and work on his emotion, self belief, confidence, motivation, target, aim in life etc. etc. etc. - all these mental aspects of the game. (equals to getting the basics right - as someone said above)
3. Concentrate on his studies - didn't get the chance / time to pass SSC or HSC, did he? Time to get a move on. BCB & all first class & club sides should give him the break and not include him in any team for the time being. The first division to third division club sides may have the permission to include him in their side to play cricket for a whole season, only when he's not busy with his studies. At the end of the day, if he can't help win his first to third division team after a couple of years, with his ability, then turn him a BCB official or coach or something.
