Default Al Amin Hossain is back for first 2 ODI's

Al Amin back in the team for Taijul according to Islam on twitter so this is the squad for first two odi's:

1. Mash
2. Shakib
3. Mushy
4. Tamim
5. Riyad
6. Taskin
7. SS
8. Shabbir
9. Nasir
10. Mossadek
11. Shafiul
12. Mosharaf Hossain
13. Al Amin
14. Imrul Kayes

No Rubel. Rubel didn't do well after coming back from injury in DPL, yet he got the nod ahead of Al Amin. Al Amin has the last laugh yet again

Finally a good news!

If the wicket is as bad (slow and low) as the 2nd ODI against Afghanistan then Al-Amin will be quite handy.

Good to see Al Amin back in the mix.

I believe that Anamul could have been drafted in instead of Soumya or Imrul. Can keep better than Mushy

ya, but AA will still have to compete with Mosha & Shafi , Mosha definitly getting the 1st two and Shafi did well so don't see AA playing the 1st ODI, will be back for 2nd if Shafi fails.

Shafiul is just a disaster waiting to happen, either he will get injured again or will get badly thrashed by England. Glad to see AA back.

shafiul didnt do bad in last ODI. soumya missed a catch (easy), otherwise, it would be 2 wkt.

i think bowling will be: mash, taskin, alamin, mosharraf, shakib and mosaddek

soumya need to be dropped, once he gains form--he should be back. or just keep him out of XI. play Imrul. BTW, i am not a soumya hater, i think he is awesome(when inform)

Can we just once have a 15 man squad for the whole series? these 13/14 man squad for first few ODIs just gives me a headache. We somehow need to fit Nasir into the XI; fielding is very important in ODIs, and against England, it is vital.

Nasir can be 12th man. In this way we will be able to use him during fielding.

Walsh seems to like Shafiul. Maybe there's something we aren't seeing who knows but if he does well then none of us would be screaming for Al-Amin.

Overall a good squad. First ODI should be Soumya's last chance. Enough already.

Shafiul was the only bowler we have who can swing the new ball. Plus he can bat unlike Al Amin who is also a liability in the field. Even if AA saves 10 runs with his bowling, Shafiul can cover that with the bat plus fielding.

What is wrong with posters these days? some on calling players like taskin flopskin, musfik confiq or something. I wonder how these people can take things so personally! Really ? I mean if you don.t like them just put constructive criticism but mockering names are not fun.

Flopskin? Mods come on get in action. Going overvoard with the maligning of our own man! Taskin is BD future, he will be playing for long time InshAllah, providing he stays in good health. To call him 'flopskin' when he took 5fer on his debut, took crucial wickets in crucial matches and helped Bangladesh win games, is nothing but someone just blindly talking outta their backside!

Fair enough, your don't like him and his good looks but let's not start giving a term when he isn't a flop. Infact he is quality and age is on his side, he will only get better.

Walsh saw in Shafiul what Hathure saw in Zubair.

Happy to see AAH back in the squad.

For the first match. Here's my XI:
1.Tamim
2. Soumya (last chance)
3. Sabbir (looked good there last match)
4. Mahmudullah (hard to choose where to place him, he's been successful at #4 but he is also a finnisher in general for BD, and looks more comfortable coming down the order, hitting them good quick runs than any other batsmen in the side IMO)
5. Shakib (thinking about him at #6, someone has to do the finnishing role. Do it for the team and if he comes #6, Mushy could come in #5
6. Mushy (not in good form, don't want to send him early and lose his wicket easily, maybe at #5 if SAH comes #6)
7. Nasir (Off spin and big hitting needed, I think his experience edges him past Mossadek at this position)
8. Mash (captain)
9. MH Rubel
10. Taskin
11. Al Amin

England have some lefties. England bat deep. We need to bat deep, have various options, and have left and right, spinners. Going with Nasir in the side, gives better balance especially batting down the order. It's between Mossadekk and Nasir, I'd go with both and leave one of the pacers out, like Al Amin. Hard choice, but had Morgan came I'd gone with both Nasir and Mossa as theres many left handers in England. But, I think since Mash likes going with 3 pacers (which has been successful for us since WC 15) I'd stick with 3 pacers, leave one of Mossadekk or Nasir. Nasir Hossain, be my pick out the two.

Nannu making himself sounds like a moron. Last three years AA has played for the national team, there was no question what so ever about his fitness. Suddenly out of blue, Nannu decided AA lacks fitness. Now, just after one round of NCL, he decided AA got his fitness back!
