Best Bangladeshi bowling lineup of all time?
A squad that has the best emerging players two years in a row, with the number one allrounder in the world and a very promising young fast bowler is no doubt very exciting to watch. It is a young attack, but I can't remember the last time we assembled a team where the bowlers all looked threatening, each capable of taking 5 wickets, each capable of turning the match on it's head.In my opinion this is the best bowling attack we have ever assembled, maybe the 4 pacer attack against India in 2015 comes close. But I can't think of another time where our bowling attack looked this good on paper. Do you think this is the best attack from Bangladesh ever (till now)?
1) Taskin
2) Mustafizur
3) Miraz
4) Shakib
Potentially Taijul or another pacer (Rubel) may play depending on the pitch as a bonus along with other allrounders, but let's count the main bowlers only.

Yeah it is by the far most talented bowling corp we've put together. Throw in Taijul and you have 5 genuine bowlers at least in our home conditions. If Miraz can average 25-30 with the bat - which he has the potential to do - we have 2 class all rounders plus 3 specialists which is very good.

All formats. Can you imagine a Tapash Baisya or Nazmul Hossain taking the new ball in this side?

The last time we had something close was probably vs the Indian match:

Scribes, scorers, commentators, administrators and even former players were left scratching their heads while trying to recollect when Bangladesh had last fielded four specialist pacers in an ODI.
After a frantic search, it was revealed that Bangladesh had fielded four pacers - Gholam Nousher, Saimur Rahman, Golam Faruq and Jahangir Shah - in their first two ODIs against Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the 1986 Asia Cup in Sri Lanka.
It was certainly a first by Bangladesh against India with Mashrafe, Rubel Hossain, Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman lining up to inflict early damage on Dhoni's men. The pitch, though, turned out to be a batsman's paradise and offered no purchase to pacers or spinners.

I am going to assume u are talking about test. How exactly does Taskin or Rubel in the back up make the all time best bowling XI? On Paper, Shohid has a better stat then Taskin. So does Mash. And easy on Miraz with the all time best title there. He had a good series. Doesnt make him an all time best. I would still put Rafique way ahead
My all time best test attack,
Shakib
Rafique
Mash
Fizz
Taijul
In ODI,
Shakib
Mash
Fizz
Rafique
Raj
backup: Taskin (Yea he makes it here in ODI)

what they've shown on a talent level as individuals yes, imo the sooner they all start playing together the better, if you want them performing as a unit then they all need to be in the team...that way they can work out what works for themselves individually and also how to come together as a unit to get the best results.
Fielding is an issue though, catching especially, the bowlers can do what they can do but the chances need to be taken. Runs need to be hard to come by, that's a team effort between bowler and fielders.

I'm still waiting for that express fast bowler from Bangladesh. I know Taskin is quick, but he's not express. Rubel looks more quicker, but he's still not express. Someone such as Taskin can't consistently bowl well over 140 kph. In ODIs he can, but not in test matches. But yeah, I agree, Fizz/Taskin is a great combo but you can only say that for ODIs. I think Fizz/Shahid is a great combo for tests. We saw how both them bowled well together during that 1st test against South Africa.

Not many could replicate odi speed in tests, brett lee was the closest one I've seen
Taskin speed will gradually go up, he now has to balance it against control in tests, he is young, so he should be able to consistently bowl 140+, now in tests he hovers around the 140 mark

I think people are missing point of op
People are combining generations, op is saying best bowling squad available at one single time

Yah exactly! No point mixing and matching to our taste. Which is the best bowling attack we put on field ever? Atleast on paper? For me the 4 pacer worked because Mustafiz, Rubel and Taskin all were bowling with their tail up, very threatening and lively bowling spells. I think Rubel and Taskin contributed in that win against India by taking 2 wickets as well. Think about the pace Rubel and Taskin brought to the table, Mustafiz with his guile and Mash just being Mash, I really felt alive while watching those bowlers bowl. But again, it can be any format. I can't seem to find another one that comes close to the current lineup. Rubel seems a bit out of form with the ball, so I am not sure if I will include him in Tests, I can't choose Taijul as well because I think he is mediocre. So the combination of Fizz, Miraz, Taskin, Shakib who are all match winners is something that we never went to the field with. Or have we? I can't find any other

Overseas pitch. Against #1 team in the world. World Cup match. We beat them fair and square. Not on potential or what may happen. We did it. SLA rules. 3 of them dazed the hell out of the #1 team.
No combining generations. Kickass bowling line up already kicked out the favorites before that.

Well, I know it is not the performance we all expected, but Bangladesh had only been able to take 10 wickets in Sri Lanka one other time. This is the second time Bangladesh has taken all 10 wickets, you gotta count that. Lots of areas to improve though.

494 all out on a 600 wicket is not bad. On a sporting track, SL would have been 300 all out. Heck, if Roy hadn't overstepped they'd have been 300 all out on this wicket!

Mashrafe
Mehedi/Taskin
