Default How will you feel when this team is given a hero's welcome at the airport?

Do they deserve it? For what? Getting two a$$ whoopings. Winning one match from the jaws of defeat? And then losing 60 out of 90 overs that came to be an anti-climatic defeat?

And yet people receiving them in the airport with garlands and stuff? I mean, why should they do even better if this is considered satisfactory? Complacent fans make for complacent teams. That is not to paint all fans with the same brush. Hence, the purpose of this poll, to get your reaction to how you feel inside when this type of hero's welcome happens every damn time.

We ve beaten New Zealand, and had a decent Irish tour. The sooner we realize these are just normal results, the better for our cricket.

they don't deserve a heroes welcome for sure! Can't strive for mediocrity please... They need to win the world cup and ICC tournaments before even any endorsements... they are already paid way too much and respected too much... that being said we can't throw stones at them... just set expectations at them, this is what we require you to do and that's it. Representing country here!

What heroes welcome. No heroes welcome m afterall we won one in 4 matches. One good match that is.

In the world cup we had 4 good matches where we lost one and two poor matches

Definitely don't deserve it. We simply got to the semi-final by luck and fluke. We were probably the worst team in the tournament. So many departments to improve on: Our fast bowling attack that looked so promising 2 years ago has dwindled and really needs to improve, Some players have been out of form for too long, Our tailenders need to learn to bat if they don't we will never be able go forward, And finally as much as I love Mash he needs to plan his retirement starting off with a new captain. Though his bowling was decent he was terrible at fielding and his fielding placements looked in no way compatible with how are bowlers bowling.

Apart from the heroes welcome, every player should receive at the very least a flat and a car.

A team that gets to the semifinal in a major tournament for the first time deserves a warm welcome.

It's not much of an achievement. We need to raise the standards

I think this kind of thing make me sick ...this kind of activity from Bcb and others proving, they r doing for their own frames and showing to the prime minister ... they feels like they won the World Cup winning only a game? But for a moment forgetting how they kicked out 3 games..341 can't defend, around 80 allout, 305 still lost by 8 wickets , 184 all out , semi final but they never looked positive and kicked out by India demolishing way .... so why too much gratuity? Yes they went to semi , but remember how...?
I feel shame to see this kind of activity... bad sign for bd cricket ....
Tamim , sakib , musfiq arrived in international cricket like a hero
Somaya sabbir mustafiz arrived like a minows...
I'm really concerned about future of bd cricket after tamim, sakib, musfiq, Riad retired...really I'm .

Also toss bad luck is hurting us badly...especially mashrafe toss luck is unfortunate...fighting against team like India , luck gotta be favor us... otherwise big batting line up like India ... we won't through at icc events or any other knockout game .

Also our players have very low nerve... young player like sabbir and mosaddek have big mouth, but when situation comes , they run away...
If sabbir , somaya , mustafiz would've performed, total ball game would be different..
I miss player like razzak, rafiq, Nasir ...

Wow, I am happy to see the attitude change in this forum about complacency creeping in. Even two years back maybe, people were happy to pamper the players, and would relish and grovel in seeing all the BCB photo ops and make a thousand excuses like it's a foreign tour, different pitches, inexperience players, blah blah blah.

But now the expectation is much higher from this experienced core of players. Because they are in their prime. It's now, or upto the next generation. And it clearly is not now, as you saw we had a lucky ride to the semifinals where we we were hammered.

Thanks for posting that video DinRat, indeed they were greeted with flowers. But at least they were bouquets and not garlands. Even the happy go lucky public gets it now that garlands for 1 victory in 6 matches is not praise worthy, it is cringe worthy.

I don't think they got much of a heroes welcome.

And they shouldn't. We won 1 match of the 4 matches we played so far. 1 good match, 3 poor matches. We are beyond that stage where we ought to be happy with 25% wins. We need to go big. Win 2-3 matches, or better yet, win the tournament

It would be embarrassing if we do so. We should be looking for winning tournaments, not celebrating going to semis. I'm very disappointed that Bangladesh lost the way they did against India. Pakistan, mind you not a better team than ours, is performing much better against the same team. Bangladesh should be ashamed of themselves for giving away that match against India.
