What should ICC do with expats teams?
What should ICC do with these expats filled Associate teams like UAE, Oman, Saudia Arabia etc? The players in that team have no connection or emotions for their country and they are just playing for the money and the fact that half of them don't even sing their national anthems. It hurts me being an Emirati to see so many players from Pakistan each year joining the team and youngsters like Rohit Singh, Chirag Suri have to pave the way for them.

Are you an Arab? Don't get me wrong I heard ethnic Arabs are only like 20%-30% of the population in UAE, rest are basically expats of Desi origin, that's crazy. Not sure if expats dominating the entire workforce is a good thing.

Look I don't have problem with the players who have done their schooling here and played cricket here but, I don't want to create any stereotypes, most of the UAE players are with weird names like Mannay, Bhutta etc from Pakistani cities like Gujrat, Sialkot etc.

Pretty much nothing you can do about it because of the globalized world we live in.
But i guess there should be some rules. Perhaps players should be a citizen/passport holder and been in that country for a while.
Just wonder how players play for Oman, UAE etc. Surely they are on work permit.

This is why we have the term ABCD (American Born Confused Desi) - second generation Desi kids who try to act more American than people who have been here for generations.

Anyways, here's my thoughts on OP:
ICC can constitute a passport rule where only passport holders (not just residents) can qualify for national team. Ofcourse, this will be hard to get England to accept so I don't think it's likely. And will most likely kill most associate cricket teams.
Alternatively, there is no reason why Oman and UAE should field sub par independent teams. These countries should go the West Indies route and form an United Arab Team. Share resources, concentrate the dispersed fan base, and field a stronger team that actually has a chance to compete.
