Afghanistan was a much tougher and better opposition. How long has this need to continue? They can't even compete with our C team. Tired of watching sub par cricket from this mix yet loud mouth fans. Such a mentally weak nation yet talks so rubbish. Living in the past glory.

And they think there is a rivalry with India. So Delusional.

I think they should play more Ireland, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka more to gain experience and become top class fit.

Well Played BD. Really this win is very sweet. Pakistanis were not counting us at all. Were dreaming of another India Pakistan final. So were the indians. Big win.

^ the key word is dream. This pakistani team will lose 8 out of 10x against us unless they drastically improve their batting. I'ts been years I hven't seen a single competetive India pak game.. it has been a borefest..

but India BD games - most went down the wire. This is typical human behavior. Ignore data but go with "inner feelings". The commentators/"cricket expert" make similar mistakes also.

I was watching post match analysis in cricinfo and saqlain says pak's isn't doing well cuz they haven't been playing top class cricket since champions trophy... they been playing teams like zimbabwe or bangladesh. Again pre concept notion jsut comes out - not data driven. and that too on post analysis against Bangladesh who just beat you. Bangladesh is 4/4 against them since 2015. yet he manages to put BD's name there - no reality checks.

it's funny because the analysis was just after we beat them.. was he thinking it's India or Australia just beat them. In half time analhysis he was confidently saying 240 wasn't enough and was way below par. I was chuckling because it's just about right for this pak team. Yes against India or better opposition it's not. Goes further saying BD has no bowlers who are threatening.

I would like to see analysis of Simon Doull and Zaheer Khan and all the rest of the resident Bangladesh critics now, the way Bangladesh team was swept aside as if they were some poor associate team made the win even more beautiful

Also the arrogance among Pakistan supporters were immense

This PAK ODI team is pretty overrated. But its done by the media most of which is not Pakistani. Fakhar is a slogger, Babar is a minnow basher, and the fast bowlers are all pretty ordinary barring maybe Hasan Ali and even then he's not as good as the Bumrah or Mustafiz. Given how we've struggled against leg spin, I really though Shadab would cause more problems but then maybe I looked at his 25 average and forgot to factor most of that is probably against Zimbabwe or Ireland.

The fact that our 2nd string side beat their full strength team by a fairly good margin, indicates that we ought to be at least slight favorites in our WC clash next year, provided we have a fully fit side.

Yeah Pakistan team is young as far as being together as a unit. Zaman and imam have started off well but so have plenty of BD batsmen...Babar despite his high average is still inconsistent against quality bowling, sarfaraz is ok but not amazing, amir just isn’t what he used to be, shadab I feel has been overrated as he’s not horrible but nor is he amazing although on his day adds to ge batting. Hasan Ali eventually had to hit a period where he dropped from or got found out a little the the fizz so his effectiveness has dropped (still a good bowler though).

Shaheen is a bright spark for them though. The way he’s going he’ll be an auto pick with Hasan Ali pretty soon.

I won't say bd c team, it's bd a team. Bd just outplayed them.credit goes to captain super mashrafi.dedicated mushfiq, back to form mustafiz, mature brain miraz and Mr cool Riyad. Rest are ordinary. Imrul was good in 1 match, Mithun was good supportive player.

Overall credit goes to mash, his motivation, bowling change, and inspiring team

It is ok to match head to head and consider our stronger stance but we lack bench strength and soon those players who contribute will gas out and we will not be able to compete even with AFG who are constantly producing world class talents.

Fans are fans but it hurts when cricket scholars enjoy undermining BD by hiding the truth. I guess to reach that height we need to start filling our chest with some cups.
