In the match thread, someone had posted that after Pathan picked up a few wickets.
I read it from there.

You need to take it easy on the "lathi mara..." Once you do that everything else will follow naturally

Translation:
"Brother-in-law Pathan should be given some stick."
Man! Pathan really did us in on this tour...he has been the difference so far. No doubt about it!

literally it means = plonker needs a kick up his backside
actually it means= did he really have to come on this tour, couldn't he have suffered an injury or get abducted by an alien or something.

Actually, i like the phrase "shalare ekta laathi mara dorkar" even if i have somewhat vague idea (and it was close) of what it means.
It comes out quite cute
Saala is a hindi word too and means Brother-in-law, more like "I am married to his sister". The other way is not true, unlike the english word Brother-in-law. The other way round, it would be "Jeeja".
I also knew that Lathi means the round, tough, bamboo stick usually used in older days as a security measure and also to beak open someone's skull!!! (I actually checked my U2U message and found that i was wrong about "Lathi". No bamboo stick here!!!
The rest of the words, i can just link up and form an idea.
Thanks to you all, i don't even have to do that.
