Chopper day at Dhanmondi
Unbelievable Tapu!

Cricket matches getting abandoned for one reason or the other is a common occurrence in this country but yesterday's postponement of a Dhaka first division game did not happen due to any conventional 'unavoidable circumstances'.
For the first time and most probably for the last, a fixture came to a premature end due to the emergency landing of a Bangladesh Army helicopter.
The First Division Cricket League match between Surjo Tarun and Jatrabari Krira Chakra at the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium was just 33 overs old when the Army chopper was forced to land at the venue with stunned players and fans watching from a safe distance.
That game did not resume but the other three scheduled matches of the day passed off without anything as dramatic. There was however thrill aplenty at the City Club ground where a blistering 36 off just seven deliveries by Tapu took Dhaka Wanderers (253-7) to a three-wicket victory that had looked impossible against Kalabagan Krira Chakra (252-7) with a ball to spare.
Half-centuries by Sunny (54) and skipper Baglu (70) kept Wanderers on course but their dismissals left the side needing 39 runs off the last 13 balls. Coming at number nine, Tapu whacked five sixes, one four and picked two runs off the other delivery as he virtually moved the earth in a four-minute burst.
Earlier, Arman made 51 and Ujjal 64 not out for Kalabagan, who were relegated from the Premier League last season.
Partex Sporting Club maintained their victorious streak with a 60-run win over Lalmatia Club at the BKSP ground.
Ruben's back-to-back half-century (76 off 79 balls) helped Partex score 220-8 in their stipulated 50 overs after Lalmatia's Mostaq captured 4-44 from nine overs.
Mostaq contributed unbeaten 34 with the bat but his side managed only 160-9 in their share of 50 overs. Alam Babu topscored with 37 for Lalmatia while Ripon and Shafiqul shared six wickets between them for the winners.
Meanwhile a four-wicket haul by Shaown steered Prantik Krira Chakra (184-9) to a 71-run victory against Gazi Tank at the Jagannath Hall ground.
