Mohamed Ashraful is playing in his 19th test match.

Did you know he scored his only century in his first test against Sri Lanka ?

Mujibur:
We are fanatic fans. So, yes we know Ash scored his first century against Sri Lanka, and he holds the record of youngest test centurion.

Stats and profile are available here aswell.

Default 98 and out

i dont think that ash will be able to have enough time to score 35 more....he will prolly need another 80 balls or so...i hope that rafique can last that long cuz tapash and tarek won't for sure.

and i will be pissed if ash gets out after scoring 80, before 80 i can handle it.

OK!

Glad to know you are diehard fans.

If we draw against the West Indies , that is as good as a win in the caribbean.

If we win, then we deserve a National holiday.

GO BANGLADESH.

don't know about u sage, but i see the point from al furkan's post. thats what i was thinking too. WI bowlers will not target ash to finish the innings. they have much easier targets than that. rafique doesn't have very good test batting record, only 32 highest and 13.52 average. and once rafique is out, bd innings virutally ends. tapash might be able to stay on the creaze for a while since he has some experience of being night watch man, but won't go far with WI fast bowling. then, there is no difference between having tarek and not. i don't see much chance for ash to finish his century. probably around 80's unbeaten.

Rafiq doesn't need to take runs. He can hold and give strike to Ash.If Ash get 50 to 60 strikes he might get it. Rafiq plays with cool head. So I think he may give Ash the support.

Your focus the 2nd day is Ash scoring a century rather than what the team total is? Huh? Bangladesh surviving for another full session at a minimum, and pushing the score closer to 350 is what is critical, not whether Ashraful gets his second century. Go ask Ashraful what's more important! Happily, his century could help Bangladesh get to a bigger score, so the point may be moot.

A ton for Ashraful and to reach the 350 mark are quite relative. You can't expect the tail enders capitalising those odd 80 runs more. Ash must be there in the middle with the firm supprot of tail enders and as long as he stays he will definitely hit the ton. This way it's not moot and academic.

ash should go by one target at a time:

passing 300 team.
scoring his 100
passing an entire session
passing 350 and so on.

at least this is they should do, spend a whole session.
