Default How about making Ashraful the captain and Mashrafee the vice captain?

I am totally disgusted. It seems as though whenever the word 'captain' or the word 'vice captain' is mentioned besides somebody's name, they totally suck as players.

Bashar is no longer the Bashar that we know, Rajin was and is no longer the Rajin that we knew and know, now Mashud is no longer the Mashud that we know.

It was a real comical incident. It is as though everybody has gone on to promise to themselves that 'India is a BIG team and Bangladesh is a SMALL team' and so no matter Indian players play how badly against us, we are not gonna give them any advantage whatsoever. Nobody has any nerves to act the way that he should.

In the 100th over, Mashud just juggled and juggled and juggled to get the ball into his hands! It was amazing what nerves can do to you, even though you have years of International experience behind you.

Sachin Tendulkar could have been run out, Anil Kumble could have been run out, it was like 3 times there was a run out opportunity in 1 ball!

Ashraful will no longer be the Ashraful we know and Mashrafe wil no longer be the Mashrafe we know today.....if they become Captain and Vice Captain respectivly

they are too young.

You don't want to ruin their career with those responsibilities.

I dont know about others, but I can assure you, Bashar will bounce back real soon. For him, it is just a matter of time before he is deadly again.

The rest, Allah help us.

We have a "just recovered " pacer trying to feel his way back to the team. It's not fair to commence pressure building on Masrafee. Just not fair. On top of that we want to harbor thoughts of making theses kids captain?

If it comes to captaincy issue then Bashar is fine. I think he is the most perfect captain BD ever had. This thread is nothing but fahmida's frustration which I can understand.

dhurr mia, valo khellei ki captain baniye dite hobe? ajob chiriya....

As for Habibul's captain, he has no quality to be a captain, he is worst than Inzamam in cheering the team. Basher can be a good individual contributor and i think he will play better if he is taken off from this and make pilot captain. Pilot has the maturity, he is respected in the team and he and rafiq (VC) can cheer the team up. We should definitely drop Rajin, this guy has got chance for almost a year with no result or whatsoever. Not only he is bad with bat, he has become the worst BD fielder. You can't just keep the failure in the team after a given time. Stable team is good but not if a good number of players in the team are loosers and fail to do a basic cricket parformance (like taking the easiest tendulcar catch)

And after you saw Basher's rackless 2nd innings, who would vote for this guy to be captain. No wonder why BD top orders are so bad...If you are watching the game you should hear the commentators and they absolutely are correct with their super reluctant comments. While i was typing this, Rajin got out again like a stupid. What is up with this guy, can't believe it...Probably 2nd innings is going to be over today

Give the captaincy to Pilot, as a penalty to Bahsar.
Even drop Bashar, Javed and Rajin as penalty.
And bring those who performed in league recently.
Show them that no one is beyond the process of selection,
only the consistent and scorer of domestic league will get the chance.
No matter what his name is.

Talking of captain and vice captains i think it could be the end of Rajin for the next game.

Bring in Alok for Rajin and Aftab for Mushfiq.

I see some of you are still wanting Pilot to be the captain?

The point of my first thread is that the minute he is turned into an official vice captain, his batting consistency has gone down to zero!

Why is that?

It really has nothing to do with captaincy

With anyone new as captain... we would still hav our batting order as JO-Nafees-Bashar-Rajin-Ash !!!

All the same story again..
50/6 ... then 210/10!!
Flexibility range: (+/-) 20 runs

GOOD BYE!!

That would a perfect idea for BD team right now. how about making Banglacricket.com (bc) their captain. All players would be issued with cybergoggles, and all the members of bc guide the team through net from all over the world.

Motto would be "ekotai shokti"

Considering the premitive stage of our circket, i don't think we should be concern about picking a captain or a vice captain. Constantly changing our batting line up and the order of leadership is a reacipe for disaster. WE don't need to be concern with such things now. I would say, just keep Bashar as captain and masud as vice captain until they both retire.
Furthermore making Ash captain will put extra pressure on him. As we have seen with Rajin. They will have their turn in the near future.
P.S. Nannu is my all time favorite. wish he was still on the team.

Default Possible candidate for captains

habibul bashed: even though he did play 1/2 decent knock since he become captain, the ratio is very low. he is more consistant is hitting duck now than ever. moreover, he is shallow and introvert (confliting? but true). i never liked this decision of chosing him as captain, and not sure will ever like it.
rajin salah: don't see him in the team, let alone seeing him as captian.
kheleda masud: have not forget yet that the WC 2003 report suggested, not to make him captain again. the recent incident with u19 coach proved once again, he lacks motivition and honesty. where he is now, is because of his technique. and the way he did it last time, i wonder if he still want a message instead of practice or physical training.
mohm ashraful: even though he showed more maturity than anyother player, we simply can't risk his performance at this point. do doubt he gonna be the captain in 3-5 years and will remain so for next 7-10 years. but not now.
mashrafee: i'm writting here just because its been suggested by fw. otherwise there is no question about it. do we know when the next time he gonna break his head or something? his injury makes him an autometic disqualification.
mohd rafique: the most senior player of the team, and there is nothing from which u can tell he'll be gone soon. his life was never a bed of rose, which tough him that he needs to fight to servive. can handle pressure. i know u gonna talk about the zim incident, but all i can say is if it was not for suman and ma latif, that thing would have been ended in the dressing room in few minutes. he can lead by example and is able to handle pressure.

the only thing to really consider is that do we really wanna change captain again? we change captency most frequently. from this perspective, we can think wheter we want a new captian or not. other than that there is no reason why we shold not sack suman and make rafique the captian.
