Ken Williamson Action
Did anyone else suspect his action? It seemed he was pushing the ball a little too much towards the end of his deliveries.

With Razzak and Shohag playing for us, I wouldn't be querying opposition bowlers's actions too much mon ami Both of ours have, to quot the Kiwi newspapers, "snappy" actions.
But yes, Williamson too has a bit of a snap on his quicker/straighter ones.

its not a fact of whether he chucks or not. Its about the degree of chucking. even kiwis themselves claim Williamson chucks. Its not blatant chucking like that of Samuel's

Don't think we are in a good position to question others about suspect bowling actions.
If it were 10 years ago, I am pretty sure Gazi and Razzak would have been asked to correct their actions although I do believe Razzak was once called to rectify his action by the ICC. Since then the rules have changed with reduced limitations on the 'degree of chucking'.
Guess that is why bowlers like Ajmal only came to prominence later in his career...wearing a full sleeve playing shirt helps too.

Let the boy chuck as much as he wants. Chucker or not, if we can't play Kane W, the door to Jahirul's team in Clemon Indoor Cricket is always open.

btw, I didn't notice anything funny with Sohwag's action. I saw the replays of his wickets over and over and the action seem normal to me. Will be interested to see why people have that perception?

Still photographs don't really count. You have to see the whole action to understand it.
Kane is pushing it very fast towards the end of the delivery - a kind of a jerk -- this is what we called chucking when we played . Whereas Gazi's delivery is totally fluent - no jerk of push.
Not sure if you've ever played a real match yourself. I'm talking from the fellow players perspective where this 'chuck' is very noticeable and you don't need to depend of ICC definition of 15 degree or such.

Moneymoney, I play regularly and as a finger spinner who has himself been accused of not having the cleanest of actions, am acutely aware of any kind of snap in a bowler's action. In his pause delivery and doosra, Gazi definitely has a snap. It isn't pronounced and I suspect it falls under the 15 degree flexion most of the times but there are the off deliveries where it is more pronounced. No more than Kane's though.
Agreed about still photography offering only partial evidence.

I can never tell if a spinner is chucking, never pay close attention.

Don't see anything wrong with Sohag's action at all. Why the witch hunt, RazabQ?

I don't think there is anything 'wrong' with his action personally as he meets the 15degree criteria set by the ICC. He would however may have been asked to rectify his action before such rule was mandated.
Its a long winded debate about what is acceptable and what is not but with the likes of Ajmal taking the world by storm, I think the ruling is here to stay so Gazi shouldn't have any problems unless he develops a new delivery that pushes these angles.

15 degrees is too much. Might as well throw the ball. They should go back to the old rule.

R U kidding me? Under the old rule even the great fast bowlers (I am not going to mention names, cause someone among us would be edgy but they come from islands) would have over 15+ degrees let alone spinners.

No witch hunt. I'm saying let's not start an argument where our own case _could_ be attacked.

That was under lab testing though, they quoted that mcgrath would even go over the 15 degree limit, but we all know the 15 degree limit was created for murali
