Saqlain Mushtaq, "The BCB, the whole country should support Mushfiq(as captain). I think he is a very, very good captain. He is full of energy, very patriotic, loyal and hard-working. I think he is the engine of the team. A train has an engine and bogeys. Bogeys have no power and he is the engine of the team which can take it to its destiny. If BCB will be unsuccessful in making him take back the job, I think Bangladesh cricket will go ten years back.
He is a gem of a person. He loves his team andhis country. Whenever you see him he is in the nets, he is always planning, thinking. He goes to the ground before everyone, he does his job properly. His preparation I think is the best preparation I have ever seen inmy life. I played with great players, and I saw their preparation as well. " http://www.thedailystar.net/beta2/ne...is-the-engine/
Nice interview! Saqlain is very much needed in our management. He again said that BCB needs to have a plan for him and should use him properly.
But this part was the best, more like ATMR's "sissies needs to be whipped"
Quote:
Saqlain: I spoke to him [Mushy] in fact today, and I said that I will have a stick in my hand and I will beat you. I am older than you and I can beat you
No doubt that Mushy is very passionate. He is one of those who i feel who gives, or seem to give all for his country. Probably as passionate as shakib, who at times, seems to be a bit full of ego, and also needs to control his anger(2nd ODI incident).

Mushy is the best person for the job.
Mushfiqur's weakness is in strategy and tactics and he should work on asking the right people on and off the field.

Good interview. Just confirmed what many have said before. Mushfiq is the hardest working player in the team by far and always thinks about the team first.
Also liked this bit about Gazi:
Quote:
DSS: Is it true that Gazi often comes up with his own plans during strategy discussions?
SM: Yes, he does. Rather than me controlling him I want him to follow his thinking. I come with a lot of questions and I want to know what is in his heart and what he is thinking about how to get the batsman out. We discussed a few technical issues but we could not do a lot of work on that. Obviously during a season you just work on your strength, your basics, developing your game. Learning comes when the season is off anyway. But I like him; he is a good listener and a hard working lad as well. Whenever I tell him that he needs to bowl that many overs he does it. Enamul is a good lad as well.

More chances that he will get away saying this to a right English player

Which English player should I tell?

We already know that Mushy is the most hard working and energetic player in the team. His fitness shows in his batting and bickering. But what he did is still sissy-like.
Yeah nice interview. Special points to me:
1. Mushy is the engine of the team.
2. Gazi is a thinking bowler
3. Shaklain is willing to work with young players
4. If B C B offers he will give a think about becoming a full time coach.
5. Regarding coaching philosophy he said about honesty. But did not say anything about his original coaching philosophy.
