Matters a lot. I have seen players getting called up and not getting a chance. I would still prefer Mo Rafique but that is not happening and I realise that.

he should play at no 8 for us.

Shakib, Razzak, Kapali, Shuvo, Naeem, Riad, Enamul, Ash, Rafique, Mosharof + a wicket keeper

I'm so happy Shuvos made the squad. I hope he plays against England. I really think he's got the potential to be the next big thing. Watch this space.

well well well
shuvo gets selected, FINALLY
but im gonna hold my horses just for now, and wait till sunday. i hope he plays, i really do
dont think his batting is good enough to be the 'next shakib', but if his bowling is as good then il be more than happy.

He is only 21, there's plenty of time for his batting to improve.

yes true, but shakib himself is 22. so not much difference in age.
anyways, Shakib since young, has been a batting allrounder. only recently has he become a true all rounder as his bowling has improved greatly.
shuvo has recently been promoted to open the batting, but hasnt done too well.
remember when mosharof hossain rubel made his debut, and came into bat at #8? he looked really bad, and before that everyone was sayin that he will strengthen our batting.
shuvo is in the team mainly as a bowler, and i want him to focus mailnly on that. his batting is extra, but he will not be as good as shakib.
i hope he proves me wrong tho....

Yeah I don't expect him to be as good as Shakib, but he can contribute with the bat, which makes him a slightly better option than Saqlain Sajib and Elias Sunny.

His recent domestic performance is nothing great. His numbers do not look consistant. not even in u-19 level. There are better performer in domestic league than him. The only reason i can think of why he got selected is he has got previous international experience. otherwise his recent performance is nothing extra ordinary to get selected in a national team. dont expect too much from him. he is average.
if you look at shakib's previous performance before he got selected in national team...he was very consistant and now he is performing consistanyly. we dont need once in a blue moon performer....we need consistant performers. currently we only have Tamim & Shakib.

Really? Like who? For your information, Shakib's performance as a bowler before got selected in national team was much below than Shuvo. Shakib has grown to be a very fine bowler.

But, you have to remember, that Shakib became a real 'bowler' about only a year and half ago.
