Default BD in Zim 2001: Alistair Campbell\'s words

Quote:
In my humble opinion I think that they will develop quicker than Zimbabwe has.
Oooohh! When will our players prove his words right!?!?!?!

Default BD in Zim 2001: Andy Flower\'s words

I think you guys should read it, I have read this before, but reading this now again seems so Interesting!

What is most discouraging is that all the weaknesses of the Bangladesh players that Flower has mentioned in this article still persists.

- The problem in the slip areas

- Struggle on pitches with extra bounce (proof: last England tour)

- "because they still look too loose once they get in"

-

And we know this before, I am only repeating this: we will miss Javed Omar. Why did he have to do an operation on his legs just when he's needed the most?

- Lack of firepower in the bowling department - particularly in seam bowling

- "Probably a little too friendly"

Quote:
At the risk of repeating myself, they would do well to develop pitches that bounce and seam a bit at home. Not to play their Tests on, because they will probably want to play on the pitches they are used to for their Test matches. But for the good of their own batsmen – and bowlers – they must learn to play on bouncy pitches.
I wish the BCB officials had the brains like Andy Flower.

I once lived next door to Andy Flower. He's a nice and thoughtful bloke who's made some good points here.

Except I don't agree with the idea that Bangladesh are too friendly. In the short term, you won't win many matches, and I can't see the point of becoming bad losers. A lot was made about how in awe you were of the Australians, but what would be the point of acting like you were going to beat them?

England go through occasional phases where they think they've been too nice. All sides sledge but they shouldn't.

We will surely miss Javed Omar and mashrafi Murtaza. Our bowling is still more consistant than our batters.

Default that\'s dream..it never came true so we should not expect too much

we haven't improve since 2001....so we should not even hope for somethng dramatic..so we should just except the reality..we probably gona be able to take the test match in 5 days like last two series..but draw is enough for us.
