Default The Official MLB 2009 Thread

Any baseball fans here? Today is opening day!

My beloved Braves are up 4-0 on the defending-champion Phillies in the 6th inning.

LETS GO BLUE JAYS!!!!

Race to 4th place in division is ON!!!

Anyways, I personally think blue jays are underrated. Ppl lile Bill Simmons and other columnists are saying we are 70 win team..... worse than orioles... Those ppl are just confused from staring at the expensive boston/ny teams. Sure we wont div, but I can say they will win 85+.

Keys
Halladay -> We need Cy Young type season
Wells -> hopefully gets 20hr
Lind/Rios/Snider -> Gonna need breakout seasons
Pitching -> Gonna need what we had last year, great young pitchers.

I'm personally rooting for Yanks to fall on their face, and for Boston to follow.

Where are you guys getting the roids from? Who is your IDOLroid? To follow a sport I need a role model. Does this sport have one? Ichiro?

I use to follow this sport religiously when Nolan Ryan was ripping 90 mph phast ball well in to his 40s or Bo Jackson hogging the plate. May follow again if I get satisfied answers.

You'd be naive to believe they weren't juicing up, Steriods were being used early in the 60's and it's dominant in the 80's and 90's. Bo playing football too come on.

To answer your question Jeter but Hanley is the Best Player in Baseball by a Mile.

Halladay is gonna be the big fish during the Trade Deadline

Blue Jays are playing pretty awesome. Our offense is on fire. Number 1 in the East.

Lets see if you can catch the rocks, Cox may retire in 09 if you win the Wild Card.

even though I'm not fond of them, I would have to put my money on the Bronx Bombers.
