Who is the best fielder of Bangladesh?
Despite having pretty young legs in our team, at times our fielding turns out to be well below par. Fielding, being an integral part of modern cricket, can't be taken lightly. So who do you think is or was our best fielder?

you need a poll with this thread... but yeah tamim is probably the best.
from non national players aftab, alok and rajin were top class.
apart from Tamim can't think of anyone worthy of a mention. Mushfique is the worse...

Keepers don't usually count as fielders. I bet he'd make an excellent fielder.

TAMIM. YEAH.
Also Shakib, Ashraful, and Raqibul appear to have some safe hands.

If I was to vote for any single player I would definitely go for Tamim.
But one must understand that the position matters a lot. Tamim is really good in the deep. Far better than any of our other fielders.
Amongst closer fielders, there is Ash, Aftab, Rajin, Sakib, and Rock
Our slip fielding is terrible, and I would recon the best we have is Junaed

Rajin Saleh, who is also among the fittest. Just a shame his batting's not up to the mark...

The best fielder in the team usually :
- Feilds at point , (Yuvi , Dilshan , De Villiers or Gibbs and Collingwood all feild at point)
- is Athletic
- has Inch perfect throws
- Pulls off stunning catches
- Is a good runner between the wickets.
- and Not at all Lazy
The best fielder IMO is Aftab Ahmed closely followed by Shakib and Ashrafuilla.
We should have a poll for this.

If those are the requirements, then Raqibul is our best fielder. I am not sure about his catch taking ability though (seen him taking few good catches, but not stunning), he is stronger as a ground fielder.

As far as I have seen, Tamim is very lazy in the field, though he pulls off a few good catches. Aftab is the best.

In the team after the recent tour: 1) Shakib, 2) Tamim, and 3) Nirala.
Not in the team but easily the best in Bangladesh: Abul Bashar of Barisal Div.

Good to know that. I know he has been playing for different age group teams but never scored enough to get in A team.
I have no idea why people here think Ash is a good fielder.... he is a very average fielder probably just better than Zunaed in our team. Tamim improved a lot but still a long way to go.

For a second I almost fell of my kedara. Thinking the former Khulna captain has joined barisal now. Would be nice to have a Jonty among ourselves.
+++
Shakib gets my vote. Raqibul close second. These two's concentration level is out of the chart. Ash is good too. Aftab, Rajin are the other guys who were great. Outfield, Tamim and JO.
