What does Shafiul have to do to win a $%^%$ Man of the Match?
Lol bechara. He has been compared to Bradman in this game. Was vital in both of our wins. This man has HEART!
Was crowd cheering his name when Kayes got the award? Lol

He doesn't need a stupid MOM trophy. He is now a national hero. this moment for me atleast, trumps the ICC trophy in 99

No he deserved it more on this match. I thought Bangladesh had no chance, when batsmen like Mush, Naeem couldn't play their roles I thought Shafiul would have no chance, he proved me wrong. Shafiul looks like the only player who wants to fight till the end, others just ride on inform player's luck

Our top order and mid order needs to learn "SENSE" and "PATIENCE" from Shafiul and Mahmudul innings...

In terms of batting skills he is placed just above Rubel. Guess what he did better than Rokibul, Naeem and Mushy.

Easily the MOM for this match is Shafi IMO. He is by far the technically most correct bowler to bat since Tapash .

MoM awards get forgotten, performances however small linger in the memory as if they are on repeat.
who rememebers Ash's MoM for his 52 against south africa in the 2003 TVS cup at Dhaka???
but everyone remembers that six that Aftab hit off Gillespie.

Well said... You are absolutely right. A die hard like me also gave up ( and went to the bathroom finally for 10 mins) . Shafiul re-ignited the belief that we should not give up ( like Razzaque does all the time..). I will remember this match just as that Aftab six, Mashrafee's Shewagh incutter, Tamim hoik over Zahir .... and few other moments as such. This was a classic match for us... We are back on 8 again above West Indies...The fans are back again behind the team and Sidhu is back at his place as Mandira Bedi was!!
Shafiul is the hero for both the wins and hopefully many more that will come. As a player having MoM is definitely an encouragement and a recognition.. I hope internally BCB will award him for his maverick act!!

Good idea! Can we make an image of a poster for "Shafiul Islam: BanglaCricket.com Man of the Match against England" and send it via Ian or Julien?

Which idiots have been deciding the MoM? What do they have against Shafiul? May be he will have to be ""faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound" to win one. He is my MoM today. IK lost the MoM in my eyes with the runout.

Shafinul played the biggest role for winning the match. Too bad the MOM was given by looking at the scorecard alone. Everyone who saw the match live knows he was the MOM. Yes, BCB should give him special award for this and the IRE match.
