You are right! They are doing pretty well in English domestic limited over games. They also beat Zimbabwe last summer when Zimbabwe toured England.

No it's not an official ODI. It's just a warm-up match for WI.

It's not even like WI had a bad day. They batted well with a century from Bravo. Sensational performance from the Irish. Won with a 6.3 RR.

I can't even picture ourselves chasing 250 and win, let alone 290. We really are behind Kenya, Ireland etc..in ODI games. The test scenario is different, I believe, and we should be able to beat them in longer version games. You are right, we need to play kenya, ireland more in one day games...this is an astounding result.

I feel the same too. I wish we have a few top order batsmen who can consistently score those quick 50/60s in limited over matches!!

I feel we are getting worse in the ODIs these days, when the rest of the world is getting better. This Asia Cup will be a good test for it.

Zimbabwe lost to Eire last summer. They've players playing first class matches for Notts, Hamps etc. Look at Kenya and Eire. It's about time for BD to pull some surprizes every now and then in ODI cricket. Honestly it's not too much to ask for. Like Whatmore said everyone is having their share of winning except BD.

Why oh why? The million dollar question. Why only us? If we win just some ODIs, we can shut the critics up for sure, people won't complaint much about not winning a test for a while.

I also thought so until the Zimbabwe tour. I think we turned the corner there. We did win against a strong WI A team and was competetive in all ODIs against the WI and Zimbabwe. Lack of Strong, Prolific Batsmen, capable of accelerating, is our major problem.

A score of 250 looks good even we lose in a ODI. The run anemia is there even in local cricket. Nobody ever gets a great innings. Tendulkar once scored 600 runs in school cricket. I have not seen a double century even in local BD cricket.

Yeah! Have not seen any bangladeshi batsmen scoring 60 of 25/30 deliveries even in domestic league. Hardly seen any batsmen dominating the bowling, even though the pitches are usually batsmen friendly. can't blame the pitch. It's not preventing Sanjiv Sharma from scoring 3 consecutive 90s. Why is it so that our batsmen are not capable of big hitting? Wrong food?
