Default Queens Park Oval Stadium - Group B Matches - But no warm up matches

No team gets to play any warm up match at the venue where their WC matches will be held. If they could -
  • The team could understand the pitch behavior - a step ahead to select final 11.
  • The players could adjust themselves with the city environment - health reason.
I think its not a good idea - or is it - Discuss.

I agree with you Mav bhai. It's the worst idea not to play practice matches in the WC venu. Poor management decision by WI cricket board.

i dont like the way the WC match vanues are scheduled. all the teams of the same group gona play under the same vanue again and again in their group matches. it would b better if teams can play in various vanues instead of one. because different vanue ight have different pitch cond. environment.

Well I guess by having the teams playing in the same venue, the organizers save a lot of money. If 12 teams keep moving around, it will create lots of chaos and I guess its better as with time, you should get used to the condition and pitch better.

I wouldn't care where they play their warm-up matches as long as the rule applies to all the teams. If Bangladesh don't get to play in their world cup venue but India does, then its not fair for us but if both teams are not allowed to play in the same venue, I guess in the end it doesn't really matter much.
