Wanted: A Batting Coach to Cure BrainFades
First of all, from the looks of it, Bangladesh was setting up a good foundation for a big score...when all of a sudden, a part-time bowler bowled 3 consecutive dot balls to a well set batsman...the next ball, the well-set batsman would lose his wicket.
Because of the building pressure, the well-set batsmen had to go for the ugly swipe. That was a moment of uneasiness. Brainfart syndrome.
Then there is another instance of a well-set batsmen gifting his wicket away to the same part-timer. He was offered a juicy full-toss, and dispatched it into the hands of a waiting short mid-on.
Instances like these can be very detrimental to the bricklaying process, it is a mere Crack that causes the house to crumble.
Now, can there be an option to recruit a batting coach who can work with these batsmen to eliminate the brainfades?
It seems like the batsmen are very susceptible to a little bit of pressure.
It's more than a skill, it is the mentality.
