The UAE is going to host the
2018 Asia Cup that was originally slated to be held in India. The tournament is likely to be played between Sep 13 and 28.
Political tensions between IND and PAK (say something new) has been cited as the reason for the change. "The ACC deliberated on the matter and decided that this was the best way forward," ACC and PCB chairman Najam Sethi said.
In addition, the
2018 Emerging Teams' Asia Cup will be co-hosted by PAK and SL. Originally scheduled for Apr, the tournament has now been moved to Dec.
2018 Asia Cup will feature Full Members IND, PAK, SL, BAN and AFG. The 6th team will be determined via a playoff that includes UAE, Hong Kong, Nepal, Singapore, Malaysia and Oman.
