I just hope BD plays out this last session without loosing any wicket... and hopefully this umpire wont give any more moronic decisions... hopefully mahmud and Mushfiq (our 2 all rounders play this day out)... I feel so bad for golla.... he was playing really welll Getting a LBW after getting a huge inside edge... thats painful... and someone shud tell the umpire that the ball has to be in pitched within the line of wicket in normal cases for a positive lbw decision... lot of good lbw appeals can be turned down if the ball was outside the line of wicket...

89.5 Clarke to Khaled Mahmud, no run, good length delivery, extra bounce and angling in sharply, ball hits the pad and Clarke starts to appeal, non of his teammates join him, they know Asoka is at the other end!

You all should see the massive BD crowd shouting at Ashoka and those banners against him! Great crowd, great atmosphere. I personally love it when there's bands or drummers around.

Just pray for Bd so that they get lead of 250 runs. This is the best time for both Mushfiq and Sujon to get their form back.Although Mushfiq did well in the first innings but sujon has a great responsibility to cross the lead 250.And if tellenders of Bd do well in this innings then we can see the lead around 250.This will be tough for england. And Bd should pick up some wickets quickly(I want Trescothick,Vaughn and Thrope).Easy very easy to bd to get their maiden test victory.
But the maiin work to do is Get some big total in Bd's 2nd innings.
Good Luck Bangladesh.

Radicalsami
The ball has to pitch inside the line of leg stump, not the off-stump for a LBW decision. However, it has to hit the pad inside the line of off-stump!

Bangladesh Zindabad!
Go Bangladesh! Win could be near. Even if we don't win, a draw would be a good result.

245 for 6 at close of play!!
Boy are we becoming a class team or what??
We managed to bat out the day, 94.2 overs, and only lost 5 wickets in the day, one of which was a shocker by Ashocker.
Bottom line, we are leading by 153 with 4 wickets remaining. Mushfiq is playing out of his skin, and Mahmud is doing well too. If the team can bat out half of the lunch session (extended session again), we can stretch our lead to 200! That will give us a real chance to bowl England out.
After 40 for 4 in the first innings, we have really turned things around and are in with a chance of victory! This team is showing real fighting spirit. I am proud of our boys, whatever happens from here on.

What are your views on Ashoka De Silva? Tresco was def out and Omar wasn't. IF the umpiring was right, we would be in an even better situation!

I thinkn we have had two drags in this match, I will blame the rain for the first 4 wickets (it could have been better as it was a batting wicket before the downpour) and Ashoka for letting Tres go and halting golla.
Overall - my sincere apology to Mushfiq. He proved that he is a fighter (Give us a break, we did say that when he play's we will be behind him 100% and we ARE behind him 100%).

This is the slogan
Quote:
If you do not want it for yourself, for Bangladesh, for the crowd, do it for Ashoka De Silva.

yeah, mushfiq is turning into quite the batting hero! I think there are all sorts of selection dilemmas but that is an issue for another day.
do you guys really think BD has time to win? They'll have to turn up the run rate significantly tomorrow morning. At one point we were on target to finish the day at 280 or better. So we are a bit behind if winning is the goal. We'll need to bat until lunch and get another 70-100 runs at least. Hopefully there is no way England can win this match and we can get a draw out of it.

Did anyone watch the bit where Rikki Clare started swearing at Sarkar for no reason at all saying the f word etc. That was bad play from him. Even if he was frustrated, doesn't mean he has to start swearing at the batsman.

I thought Mushfique was the victim (not Hannan) in the Rikki Clarke incident?

Let him swear!
The point is, Mushfiq has taken 2 wickets in this match and scored 80 odd runs so far, and he isn't done. Clarke scored the most painful 14 runs I've ever seen and taken one lucky wicket. End of discussion!
