Rubel shortlisted for ESPNCricinfo ODI bowling award
Rubel is the only Bangladesh player to make the list any categories (Test, ODI and T20). Congrats!! Good to see other boys (apart from Shakib, Tamim) are stepping up and getting nominated.
Rubel Hossain 4 for 25 v New Zealand
fifth ODI, Mirpur
Having conceded the series against Bangladesh, New Zealand may have thought things could not get any worse, but Rubel Hossain had some more ignominy to heap on them. Daniel Vettori had led a determined effort to restrict Bangladesh to 174 before Rubel ran in with purpose and took advantage of a top order that was by then completely bereft of confidence. Brendon McCullum was late on a pull shot, Jesse Ryder was trapped by a fast, straight one headed for middle stump, and the in-form Kane Williamson flashed at one in the channel outside off, edging to slip. From 20 for 5, New Zealand's lower order staged a remarkable recovery and the last pair threatened to end their tour on a happy note. However, with four required off four balls Rubel blasted out the rampant Kyle Mills with a perfect yorker, and the "Banglawash" was complete.

I hope he fires like that match on 19th February........it'll be a delight to see Sehwag's stumps being knocked out by Rubel's yorker

There's some chance, considering a few of the matches involve pakistan... Rubel clearly has the bet 4-for.. Historic significance, as it ensured a whitewash/Banglawash against a team ranked 2/3 positions higher than us at the start of the series..this could be the series Bangla cricket historians point to in future as the turning point of our cricket team in a big way...
Congrats Rubel...I hope you devastate at least 3-4 teams in the World Cup...you deserve to be one of the world's best 5-10 pace bowlers. Prove it to yourself, your coach and your country.. we'll be proud of you regardless..

Great news, it may not be too big, but these do help the upcoming players to perform better.
