Tamim's Bhur'hi
I'm 43 going on 44, like to eat, don't exercise and have a bhur'hi. Being a former weekend surfer, weekend ice hockey player and amateur triathlete, I am truly ashamed of it. But not nearly as ashamed as I am of the procrastination and slack with regards to exercise over the past 5 years or so.
I understand that Tamim Iqbal Khan is the infinitely more talented nephew of Akram "Kachchi Biriyani & Mezbani Goshto" Khan but W-T-F dude???
You're 21 going on 22 AND a PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE playing International cricket. Please get rid of it.

I was sitting less than a 100 yards away from where he was FIELDING bro, by the ropes. Haven't been able to get rid of that image in my head since then. His bhur'hi, like his batting average, has surpassed Motin's in less than half the time. Alarming!

Result of eating too much fast food? Living on his own, thus no cooking at his rental house I guess!

Did anyone notice that, Tamim gets tired very quickly during this batting. He seems to be out of breath after running few singles. Not a good sign for a 21 years old boy. (i really doubt his age though)

Tamim is not the only one that gets tired. Watch Shakib after about 50-60 balls. He can barely stand up. Still, we believe.

Tamims not the only one same happened to Mash also. I have also seen a recent Nazimuddin. Our cricketers lack self-discipline, commonsense and professional work ethics. Eating fatty food and, especially, eating late at night has been a major concern for as long as I remember.
Our trainers have got their work cut out.

Tamim smokes almost 40 cigs per day (at least that was his smoking rate when he visited down under for the wrist surgery) and that's why gets out of breath after a while. And his real age is close to 23. Don't know about shakib why he struggles. May be, the same reason.

Then what happened to our fitness training? We are supposed to be completely fit before the world cup.

Before the start of the world cup, there was a report that Tamim and Shakib missed the flight to Chittagong (to join the training camp there) because they were up too late partying. But we have not heard of any repercussion to that event.
Sujon also mentioned once that there are players that often show up late for training sessions, without any valid excuse, but get away without any reprimand simply because they are on Siddons' good list.
I certainly think both the head coach and the manager should get fired after the world cup, simply for their failure to instill basic disciplines in the team.

Against India, while batting, Tamim looked tired so quickly, it was obvious something is wrong.

We the fans are also responsible, we make them super-stars too early and then react against any negative news against them, even they are true. The messenger becomes the HATER of BD cricket.

Sujon may have his own agenda, but his messages was buried (by fans and media without verification) as a bitter man's bad mouthing his old boss.

You are right. However the fans also need to understand what is good for BD cricket or not in long term and when there is conflict between a star and BD cricket, which side they need to take.
when a coach/manager take a bold decision against a star player to restore order, we need to support the coach/manager. Otherwise the coach/manager will be a sitting duck against the super start backed by fans and will be removed.

That probably, partly, explains his puffy face and those black circles under his eyes these days. I was flabbergasted as to how a 23 year old pro-sportsman like Tamim could 'sport' such a flabby nadushnudush physique. It all coming to make sense now. This is how they pay back a poverty-stricken country who have invested so much in them!

Excellent post, agree with you on all parts. Sometimes fans can't digest the bitter truth against their star, and if it is brought in the lime light by a person, he or she is bashed and makes em look like the bad guy.
