Copa America, Argentina 2011
Hi football fans and specially the South American Football Fans. Good news for you that very soon the Copa America 2011 is going to start featuring 10 south American teams plus two Central American teams Mexico and Costarica. we should get ready to view the Beauty of South American football from July 1 to July 2011
Obviously football fans will be mostly supporting Argentina and Brazil and they should be the favorites although Mexico and Uruguay are strong teams these days and may put up a challenge against the favorites. also the football of equador, chile, paraguay have improved recently. so get ready some good competitive football games from your favorite football teams and stars

New Page 1 COMPETING NATIONS 12 teams will play in three groups each featuring 4 teams Group A: Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Bolivia Group B: Brazil, Paraguay, Equador, Venezuela Group C: Uruguay, Mexico, Chile, Peru FORMAT The first round, or group stage, saw the twelve teams divided into three groups of four teams. Each group was a round-robin of six games, where each team played one match against each of the other teams in the same group. Teams were awarded three points for a win, one point for a draw and none for a defeat. The teams finishing first, second and two best-placed third teams in each group qualify for the quarterfinals. - Tie-breaking criteria
Teams were ranked on the following criteria: - 1. Greater number of points in all group matches
- 2. Goal difference in all group matches
- 3. Greater number of goals scored in all group matches
- 4. Head-to-head results
- 5. Drawing of lots by the CONMEBOL Organising Committee

the bolivian goal was amusing, the bolivian player played the ball while his back was toward the goal. passed it backward. The ball went inside between a defender and keeper. what a stupid defense !
