Only, if we could fielded well today and didn't concede those overthrows (12 runs), only if shafiul didn't bowl that dreadful wide 4 (5 runs) and naeem could score 20 more runs with the amount he faced, we could have won the match.

Shakib playing for a "oh I stayed N.O, no one helped me at the other end" innings? Hit out and get out. No point otherwise

So what should he do? Try to get out each delivery?

Does that make a difference ? some days it will be Kayes doing what Naeem did. If not then we have ashraful, rockibul or [insert a name]. I mean not trying to defend Naeem but seriously in every chase i see one or two innings like this that literally costs us the game. To them they probably view it as "keeping wickets on the other end so that they can hit their way out towards the end" BUT most of the time this brings opposite result. WE LITERALLY DONT have the likes of pollard, white, Pathan in the team to "hit our way out". The batsmen coming in lower down the order are NOT powerplay experts, they DO NOT posses special physical advantage or are great cameo stroke makers.Top order needs to realize this and refrain from playing such pathetic innings.

I see Naeem was sent up the order. Hell he was sent up to open. While I like the batting flexibility, far better than what we had in last era. But that was a fail innings from Naeem. If you are happy with him scoring a 50, you don't even get cricket. That's not what he was sent up there to do. We already have Imrul for that type of innings. That was a bull innings. And that's exactly where we lost the game. Rahim should have been batting at 4.

I thought coaches and also team management suppose to get that into the heads of the "top" orders

Just too many dot balls in the beginning of the innings killed us. Look at the way Samuels and Simmons batted. They batted so freely. The top order needs to learn how to rotate the strike on a regular basis. Well let's not get too upset. This is game 1 and there are 2 games to go. Hope we can bounce back.
