I think our bowling is good enough to restrict them to something like 250-260. If we manage that then with a good opening we can win against this west indies side. They don't look as invincible as Australia did recently in bd

had we lost the match by bowling second we'd easily blame it on the dew factor/perspiration....koi windies ra to tu shobdo korlo na...excuse chara amader kotha nai...
we lack self-belief plain and simple and wished our coach helped in this cheerleading ability....all the techniques of the world not adequate/substitute for desire for win

Ian Pont, Bangladesh's most successful bowling coach, was at the BC chat the whole time of the game, and i will quote him: "Alok is getting away with some rubbish here". He did not bowl well. And he sure as hell can't bat sh*t like he used to.
Mahmudullah is being dearly missed, no argument on that.
Justification for a place for Ashraful? He's the best right-handed batsman in Bangladesh BY A COUNTRY MILE. Just try and get a count of breathtaking intl. innings he's played for his country. The debut test hundred against Sri Lanka, the historic ton against Australia, 94(52) against England in the very next game in a chase of 393, the 87 against South Africa in the 2007 World Cup, the 158 against India, the 61*(27) against WI in the T20 World Cup in 2007..... I can go on, but i think I've made my point.

Lol, Ash is the most experienced right-hand batsman in our team currently, seeing as BD is predominately full of lefties.

New ball from both end.How many of you think that new ball from both end is going to bother us?IMO this new rule will go against us.
1.The ball will keep new up to 20 to 25 overs of the innings. So our top order will struggle till 25 over.
2.Ball will never become old.Even in the 50th over the used ball will be 25 over old.So ball will not spin much.
3.Pacers will do better than the slow bowlers.
So definately new rule is work against us.

DRS ensure korte paarlo naa...instead they're out fiddling with this ****. Trying their best to make 50 overs cricket into T20. It's not going to happen, actually...if that's the aim, why not simply do away with 50 overs cricket?
Just about every policy they've come out with in recent years has been...how do we create more runs...

Need one crucial change: Nazmul in for Shafiul
Since Sunny is not in the squad..Razzak will be an automatic choice

Razzak should give way to Nazmul. Today all the wickets were taken by the pacers. Like our ex coach Ian Pont says, you cannot win ODIs regularly with spinners only.

In my proposed team, I had Rubel, Nazmul, and Shafiul. We have to field like we did in the T20.

Because Ash can win matches all by himself. He has done it so many times (probably about 4) in his 170 ODI matches.

Please go on. There cannot be too many left because his ODI average is a true star-quality 22.64.

And, we all know that good relationship should be the No 1 basis for getting selected.

I think even the selectors are confused now whether to play Ash or not. I think even if he plays, Mushy should let him bowl few overs. Lately, whenever he bowls he gets some wickets.

Players should get a run so I'd go with the same team except Naeem coming in at #6.

Ashraful & Alok don't look like they will survive long with the National team right now...

Razzak is only a deadly bowler whenever the conditions are spin friendly(ODI's only)....otherwise, he seems like a very ordinary bowler to me.
