Apart from Rahim's century, this is a pretty awful scorecard. Are we taking Zim a bit too lightly?

I totally agree.....142/6 against this attack......does not look impressive.......our specialist batsmen need to score lot more.

Raquib Al Hasan is the 15 year old kid, not Sakib Al Hasan (though I don't know how old Sakib is).
I am concerned about Tushar Imran. He's only 22 years old; but already considered one of the senior players of BD national team, and yet he hasn't learnt to bat longer innings - still in the 20s and 50s. When will he learn to play some longer innings? Its only a second string Zimbabwe team (actually, 3rd of 4th team, if you listen to all the criticisms of the Zimbabwe team leaving out Streak, Blignaut et al.

Coach Richard praised Dhiman as a sold batsman after the u19 tour of england. he said he would rate dhiman after aftab and nafis iqbal as far as i remember. he added no one can get him out unless he wants to..
as far Mushfique, how come u guys don't know he was found by this
ex-cricketer(probably from WI , was brought to find out wicket keeper/batsman) . he predicted mushfique will be like Gilcrist like wicketkeeper. he scored a breezy innings in the same year for BD U15 against Calcutta ... (CAB u15)..he scored some 56/57 runs off only 32/33 balls.. he is only 16
go rahim go

Wow.
This site has already filled up its yearly quota for comparing kids to legends.

2nd Test Bangladesh A v Zimbabwe A, Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo
No Name How Out Bowler Runs
1 Nafees Ahmed Ct Mufambisi Mahwire 35
2 Roqibul Hassan Ct Chibabha Mwayenga 8
3 Tushar Imran Ct McMillan Mahwire 20
4 Shamsu Rahman LBW McMillan 10
5 Mahmud U Riyad ct Cremer Chibahba 33
6 Dhiman Ghosh Ct Sibanda Chibahba 29
7 Shakib Al Hasan Ct Strydom Chibahba 27
8 Mushfiqur Rahim not out 110
9 Syed Rassel ct Sibanda Chibahba 11
10 KS Hossain run out 14
11 Shafaq Al Zabir not out 0
At stumps 9 for 310
FOW
Plenty of good starts but aside from Mushfiq no batsmen was able to go on with the job. After being in trouble at 142 for 6, Shakib and Mushfiq batted superbly absorbing the pressure for over 2 hours to add 71 to dig Bangladesh out of trouble. Mushfiq then added 35 with Syed Rassel and 48 with Rajib before stumps were called.
Sorry about the late update. The IT level in Zimb is very poor which is why cricinfo can not do the scoring live.
Some answers for you.
Shakib is also 15 years old and played in this match.
Sanuar has a hamstring strain and that is why he has not played in either match.
Sharif was dropped for Shafaq in this match.
Mushfiq was brought into keep and replaced Wassell.
Enam has a slight twinge in his bowling shoulder so has been rested as a precautionary measure as it is more important that he is fit for the test tour to England.
As mentioned above, some good starts, but only Mushfiq went on with it. Good to dig ourselves out of trouble, something we have not always been capable of.

Q for coach:
Do you rate Mushfiqur better keeper than Dhiman? Why does he not keep?

Coach, Thanks so much for the update; highly appreciated.
It appears that our regular batsmen (Nafees, Roqibul, Tushar and Shamsur) were out of luck this time and thanks to Mushfiq for bailing us out.

Thanks coach. But i've few enquiries......
a) How old is Roqibul Hassan? (who scored a century in the last match)
b) What is Shamsu Rahman's natural batting position, you reckon, in both form of the game? I think he batted in all top order positions.
C) How old is left armer SK Russel? If he's around 17 then are we actually fielding our next U-19 team as A team, almost?
d)Who is natural keeper talentwise? Dhiman or M. Rahim? Or none of them?

Russel must be 20+ because he played U19 WC that held in NZ (in 2002?)

Dhiman (Born: 23 November 1987, Dinajpur, Bangladesh) will also play in the next U-19 WC.

Somewhat similar picture like our National team. Collaps by Top or Middle order.. repair by Late order! Something wrong with the way our batsmen take the game?! :duh:

I think the problem is our batsman are either too relaxed or tekes too much pressure. They don't know anything in between. they don't know how to be relaxed and at the same time watchful and careful.
Also while batting they can either bang for 4/6 or blocks. Even ones and twos comes from the effort of playing shots for 4. We are missing the batsman like Nannu, Akram and Bubul (while they were in form) who keeps the scoreboard ticking while keeping the wickets intact.

This is quite alarming actually. This Middle-Order collapse thing is becoming a BD thing in every level of cricket. I thing this issue needs immediate attention form the coaches.

Win is enough for me. 310 is not bad over all. Good job coach and our boys!
