You have a brother who is mentally disabled, and I make my livelihood as someone who deals with burn victims and others with physical disfigurements/deformities, but that doesn't mean, I expect everyone else to be as sensitive about certain words and terms as I am.

'Spastic' is another term that is bandied about on a regular basis, and no one gives it a second thought, but it too carries the same meaning as retard. It is obvious in the context she and most use it, it is not meant as a slight on those with genuine disabilities or handicaps.

Retard is quite often used instead of stupid/idiot.

You have the right to take offense, but I guarantee you, 90% of this forum or any forum wouldn't feel the same way. But seeing as your sensibilities were hurt(you being one of the rare ones), maybe instead of going after her publicly, a quiet PM to let her know how a simple 'meaningless' word, can have deep meaning for others, would have been better.

Just to finish up, this isn't a referendum on the usage of words, or who gets offended by what, and I'm certainly not trying to tell others what or how to feel(as I said, right at the top of my post, I didn't even agree with her), but I do think there has been a serious overreaction in this thread.

Good post. And I agree with you. Lesson learnt from me. Anyways, let's get back on topic. Sorry for drawing this much attention to myself.

Yeah, my bad, sorry if I come across as 'preachy'. My intention is definitely not to preach/lecture or talk down to anyone.

Different people have different speciality and he is bound to do his duty properly. If he failed, anyone has right to criticise.

It is imposible to have the same speciality all the people of a country and if all the people have same profession (i.e. sports), the country cannot go a single day.

So it a nonsense appeal to the members of BC or any supporter to coach our players.

Even you should ask forgivenss rather than becoming failure.
vai, je jabar she jabe. Take jaite den.he was too offensive in his posts.he was trying to establish something by saying that he saw x,y,z etc players growing up etc etc.He was trying to be a judge of our cricketing knowledge! Did coach Ian or julean ever try to do anything like this? I Dont care wheather he is Cricket coach ,CHAIR COACH OR NIGHT COACH bt you cant have this kind of attitude in a forum.

Seriously ? the 'coach' must be chuckling somewhere sitting in his cozy sofa staring at your guy's posts.

What kind of an attitude is this coach? This is a fan run forum and you are expected to see certain unproffesional comments but the way you reacted was totally uncalled for. I suggest go through Pont and Fountain's posts right here in BC..

Important Latest Update:

Somoy TV just reported that Tamim has been injured during Bangladesh's practice session in Ctg. Let's pray and hope it's nothing serious. We could use NOT losing one of our key players just before such a difficult home series!

The Team Manager has just corresponded to us, and it's nothing serious, apparently. He's undergone check-up. Will keep you updated to my earliest.

Just a twisted ankle, shouldn't take more than a few days (at most) to recover.
