He seems to be in the form of his life, after the tragic slump late last year.
Some good consistency there.
Hope he can continue the same in the DPL, carry it forward to BPL and then make his mark in the Asia Cup.

Hard work pays off. In a recent interview, he is was saying since the WI series he has been batting indoor on his own to get his form back.

imrul should've converted at least half of his half centuries to 70-80s and one-third to centuries. 50 in dpl is equivalent to 25 in internationals or maybe less, generally speaking.

He is quite consistent for a cricket player. We can't expect a cricketer to score 50 or 100 in every single matches. I am disappointed not to see him in BPL A grade and he was sold off quite cheaply. In fact after Nasir Hossen, Imrul prob is our best.

Imrul is a hard working dude, I love him as an ODI batsman so it's great to see him perform like this.
Ryad is usually good in domestic cricket, hope he can carry on that in internationals, but defi itely I have faith on Imrul. I'm sure he has improved his techniques and stopped edging.

Yes I read that interview also. I wonder why more player don't practice more in their own time.

He needs to capitalize on his form and make name for himself in the coming BPL.
An inform Imrul and Nizamuddin on the scene, it will create pressure on Tamim, who is getting a free ride so far.
A little competition will be good for the team.

Deliveries are no issues. I'm sure he has the ability to play according to match situation. See his T 20 SR, that proves his ability.
As a top order batsman, he surely will be a bit slow to stabilize the innings

When our batman can't stay at the crease for long time, crying over SR is meaningless.

Like all other Bangladesh batsmen (except Shakib al Hasan) Imrul needs to know how to take singles and twos. His running is pathetic. That's why his strike rate is laughable.
Good to see he is working hard to perfect his technique, but he must learn how to up his strike rate. Bangladeshi batsmen have a bad habit of wanting to score only in boundaries. Cricket is more than just 4s and 6s.
That said, I'd take a string of 50s with a low strike rate in the DPL over a string of 20s with a high strike rate any day. At least he'll be able to keep up one end.

Shakib and Nasir are the only two who I have seen can rotate strike at will. And Hom as well.
The rest are just char-chokka players hence inconsistent. I hope Jaharul comes of age. He had the promise to be included with the above.
Good to see Imrul getting his role down. Now convert them 50s in to 100s. The big one should be around the corner. Carry it over to Intl cricket.

Mushy can rotate at will too. Mahmudullah used to be able to, not anymore. At least not in international cricket.

^^ Mushy only seems to rotate well when he is high on confidence and timing the ball well. Other times he seems bogged at the crease and tries to hit out. In contrast, Shakib rotates the strike when he is in form or out of form. Some of his fifties from last year were evidence of that.

yes agree, but he is high in confidence when he is well set, so at first he spends sometime in the middle without disturbing the scorecard much ,when he feels set he starts rotating.
Sakib gets himself set by rotating strike right away.

Imrul does have a problem with strike rotation. He still can improve on that, the good thing about Bangladeshi batsmen is that there is always room for improvement/comeback, all are still fairly young in age. Imrul can become one of the best International openers if he can overcome a couple of flaws...always admired his attitute. the reality is, a true fan backs up his favorite player no matter what. but people like me in BC tend to be overly influenced by what other people says and in tough times i joined the bandwagon too to kick Imrul out of the national team...and yes! everyone goes through horrific form. the key is to identify your weaknesses and try to correct it as much as you can with help from coaches, batting practice and even tips from international stars. This is what i always liked about Kayes.

Jahurul: I think, it's better to give up any high expectation on him.
