That's where we lost the match last night.

I have to say, the boys fielded like bagher bacchas today especially Nasir So, so good to see.
Did anyone see how the commentators kept talking about Shakib's experience? It was as if he's 30+ years old like Ajmal, Hafeez & co. He's just about 25 now and quite a few players on the team debuted before him! (Mash, Razzak, Shahadat, Mushy)

There is one thing that is making me very concerned about the next BD match. Our batters very rarely score well in two consecutive innings. So in this match both shakib, tamim, nasir and nazim played well. Should we get ready for a batting disaster against india?

count shakib out of this league. He always performs.
So, for next match, it will be Mushy, Mullah and yet another Shakib show.

Sakib played like a champion. We have a winner in him.
I like it.

So extra vigilance was needed, this was in the 2nd spell probably - as usual Tamim got cocky I presume - that is his character. Shakib I understand - he was trying to save the game. But Tamim will always be Tamim. One member pointed out - when is the last time he has done a match winning knock. Got his 50, and off we go. Bleh!I have no respect for that guy - me me me primadonna.

"as usual Tamim got cocky I presume - that is his character"
Please don't presume with a closed mind. I know you have some sort of prejudice against him, but please try to keep it to minimum specially when you haven't watched the game.
" Got his 50, and off we go. Bleh!I have no respect for that guy - me me me primadonna"
Once again, please don't jump on to bash some one with out knowing what actually happened just because you hate/dislike him. Tamim was playing sensibly even after his fifty. He didn't throw it away. His intention of the late cut that got him dismissed was right, but was not executed well. Tamim did his bit, you can't blame anyone for not winning it single-handedly. It's a team game in case you have forgotten.
"when is the last time he has done a match winning knock."
When was the last time your favourite player Ash played a match winning knock? Yet you don't stop being vocal about his need in the team. We have seen what Ashraful has done when there was pressure on him to perform. He failed miserably and came up with excuses like he was put under pressure by selectors, BCB president etc.
I don't have any intention to make it a Tamim vs Ash argument. Just trying to show you that you have different standards for different players and have a very prejudiced mind against Tamim.
I will be very happy if Ash finds his form, comes back to the team, performs under pressure and contributes to the team.

In cricket even the best could get out for a low score. The difference between a great player and an average player is that when a great player gets set he piles on a good score and ensures that the team is close to victory. I watched the game and i found tamim's premature extended celebration quite ugly to be honest. I understand he felt the need to answer his critics but that could have waited till he brought his side close to victory. He was a set batsman and bd still had a mountain to climb at that point. If he had gotten a gem of a delivery like Nasir got from Gul i would been okay with it but he gave his valuable wicket away trying to play a cute latecut. I hope he will set the bar much higher than scoring fifties and thinking its mission accomplished

Actually we shouldn't expect a Shakib show in every match.. That is just expecting too much from this lad.. Let someone else step up and whatever Shakib does will be a bonus...

It's alright. I was just irked by the fact that Tamim had to cop a lot of flak even after playing a decent knock after all that he has gone through.
Well, time to move on. Hopefully, he'll work on his shortcomings in fitness and be a better player.

It just occurred to me.. 7 wickets have been BOWLED OUT. (Perhaps a bit of record other than Wisden's own one).

We already got a better baller, Nazmul. Why do you want to go for a flop like Farhad Reza ?

Agreed...Nazmul is better to me...Farhad Reza is a military pacer with occasional batting touch.
