Herath got 6 - wow! England needs to take a flight go north for a bit and then go east and come to Bangladesh for some batting practice . SL is leaking runs at the mo to the, other than that this match is theirs to lose!
Well done to Mahela.

CI -
"At this rate, Bangladesh would probably prove too big a challenge to England. After all, they have an impressive SLA pair in Razzak and Shakib." Ouch, CSB
Thank you ... my point is proven

Oh dear... they are dropping like flies. The pitch seems to be impossible to bat on! A lead of 200 will be difficult for England.

I am not sure who is the worse of the two - Eng or SL. Pretty equal at the mo but I would blame on the pitch. SL possibly will have 250 runs of lead which may be just enough to win the match.

Herath took 6 for 74 in 19.
Herath now our No. 1 - Jayawardene
In reply Swann took 4 for 28 in 12. And there is still 5 batsmen to come.
And this guy has some elevation!!!!!!!!!!

Any one want to take a gander at a wager?
BBC
CI
PA
DS
I guess it is West vs East. Balanced reporting from BD papers and West heaviness from CI and BBC. The realistic vs the idealistic.

You know that guy who follows SL all over the world, he has a hump on his back. I met him in Dhaka a while back when SL came to play a test match. Cool guy, showed me all the pictures he took all over the world. He had a friend too and the two always traveled together. Yesterday on TV I only saw that one guy. I wonder where the other guy is.
I think it was in 2009 January. Yes it was.
One day I would like to meet with him again.

I loved the cat and mouse game between Strauss and Prasanna Jayawardena yesterday. Broad thought he got the last wicket - but a no ball. And the tailed wagged in glee. Here is CI on this. no ball happened at a lead of 292, eventually they lost the last wicket at 339! Then PJ played masterfully with the tail!
No-ball of the day
The lead was already 293 - very healthy but still below the psychological 300-mark - when Prasanna Jayawardene top-edged a pull which looped back to Stuart Broad who took the return catch easily. All the players were making their way off, but umpire Rod Tucker wanted to check the front line and replays showed Broad had overstepped by a long way - his eighth no-ball of the match. Jayawardene had a life and made England pay.
Wagging of the day
England have a very productive lower order - and it played its part again in the first innings - but they have also been on the receiving end. In the first innings the last two wickets added 65 and this time it amounted to a spirit-crushing 87. For Jayawardene to score runs is one thing, but to see Chanaka Welegedera and Suranga Lakmal make 26 from 82 deliveries between them will have really hurt.

Cricinfo:
That is now tea and the comeback from Sri Lanka has probably won them the game, 81 runs from victory and just Anderson and Panesar to come for England. Swann had to contribute at least a 20 for England to get closer but now it is a long shot once more...see you in 15 minutes...
97.5
Herath to Swann, OUT, down for the sweep, missed and given out, referred, England's last and umpire's call on clipping the top of the bails that really is a crucial strike
Come on SL

At some point it was England to lose! Now SriLanka done it in style. This game gives BD hope a home test win in near future.

YAY!! Won by 75 runs...congrats to SL....look at the form they were in during Asia Cup and see how they have turned it back (well....mostly due to Mahela/herath) but still kudos to them...wish we could have played a series...
look at the form the tigers are in now...all of them are getting runs/wickets in DPL....but no series, whereas SL is playing too much.....
Oh ICC....oh FTP
