after two loses sans shakib, KKR introduces shakib into the team.
first match oshakib did not have any significant role but KKR still won.
but 2nd match shakib got into the groove and got a MOM.
well, KKR has the following overseas players
McCullam
Morgan
Haddin
Kallis
Shakib
Ryan ten Doeshchate
Lee
Pattinson
De lange
narine
well shakib and kallis should be definitely in the team no matter whats the pitch.
now if they want to add an additional pacer LEE has the experience and then i believe Pattinson is better than De lange. also if its a spinning pitch the can add sunil narine.
for the place left Morgan should be the top runner if available followed by RTD

Pattinson is a decent batsman
Kallis-I just don't rate him that much in t20-feel his stats are flattering his real value

RTD is a much better option than Morgan . Morgan failed last year's IPL and wasnt that great for England this year.

Worse thing is the KKR fans actually cheer for him! Are you on his side or your prince, your dada?
If someone here did a smilier thing, he would get his butt booed out of the city, let alone show up to the games.

this is a belated response, thankfully less than 6mths
Yeah I'm surprised KKR cheer for him-or is it all orchestrated like in SHrek with people just holding up "applause" signs-the whole has a degree of "riggedness" to be honest

Looks like kkr's gamble with Narine is paying off well. This is exactly what I was afraid of. Its already halfway into the tournament and shakib only played 3 games? I would love to see kkr go on a losing streak so they will have no choice but to change up their line up

Same story, but different season...last season it was Abdullah and this time it's Narine....what to do? It's the "top-notch" management you see!

Narine wasn't that effective in his 1st 3 matches.. he was hit for 6 and boundaries.. but since his 5er batsman started to show more respect to him and that is helping him to maintain a good economy rate.. On other hand Shakib was given chance only 3 matches and he snatched the MOM in 1 of them still he is not getting any game as Gambhir's 1st preference has always been Kallis, Cullum, Narine, Lee.. Even the day when Shakib got MOM Gambhir made sure to mention about Narine.. So the captain doesn't have much faith in Shakib.. Nothing much can Shakib do here... He is not a superhuman to display an over and above performance in each match (though I can't forgive him for his few stupid mistakes- 1 drop catch and that brain fart shot ) )

I even feel for Abdullah !! Really disappointed with Gambhir.. Abdullah was excellent last season and this season he is not regular in the playing XI.. even when he is playing he is not given the ball for a single over .. In Kolkata pitch Abdullah would've been more effective than Bhatia.. Bhatia gave away 40 runs .. even the other bowlers were not that economical.. KKR was lucky that RCB's star batsmen failed miserably yesterday otherwise yesterday's bowling change was not good at all...

What are the chances of Shakib being selected against Chennai? If he's selected, I'm sure the commentators will be eliciting comparisons between him and Jadeja...

Zero chance of shakib getting slected. Even though Callum miya struggled for the most of last game he still managed a decent score and they had a good partnership so kkr won't drop him. Kallis had a great game with the ball and the bat as well. Lee and narine are on top of their game as well so they won't change anything around. Had shakib gotten a few more games early on he would have been a regular in this team by now. Our only hope is if Narine has a bad game kkr might drop him

I don't think Narine would get dropped ever... Narine seems like Gambhir's pick and he has been backing Narine since day 1 and never in short of praise for him ..
Only hope is Cullum failing 3 games in a row but then they will try Morgan ahead of Shakib.. Basically I don't see Shakib getting any game... bhaloi hoise ek dike.. Shakib er rest o hochhe r KKR er kono bhul er daibhar oke nite hochhe na...

Everyone keeps saying shakib er rest hoche, now that I think about it he is actually not getting any rests. The only time he is getting rest of during the game when he warms the bench. Its not like he stopped going to the pratice session or stop traveling with the team. Just because he is not plqying doesn't really count as rest, he is still part of this team when there is no game going on he is still dping things with the team. I'm not sure if that counts as 'rest'.

Playing a game does take its toll on you mentally and physically. What does rest mean? Sleep 24/7?
I know the travelling is a lot. But it's a part of the modern day cricketers life.

It will be a rain-affected game (if there's any game at all). So, Shakib is highly unlikely to take part.

Playing XI : Gambhir (C), Bhatia, McCullum (WK), Kallis, Narine, Lee, Pathan, Das, Tiwary, Shukla, Abdulla

So far iqbal gave away 15 runs from his first 2 overs, and narine gave 6 from his first over. If Raina stays these 2 guys will go for plenty of runs.
