He got the finest accent among all subcontinent commentators.
It's just so appealing.
Specially when he gets excited seeing the batsman playing a shot, the way his voice gets deeper ever so abruptly.

WHAT?
You are lucky I have to "lengthen my message to at least 7 characters" or else that "what" would've been more "what"

Shamim is annoying as hell...and he's constantly spouting obvious truths. "Ball is round", "earth is flat", "sky is blue", "rain is wet", on and on ad nauseum. He makes Athar sound like a poet!

Forget the cliches, what about his biased commentary lately? I mean he consistently keeps saying how he wishes the wicket was zero instead of 4, or how he wishes we can avoid the FO and ****.

He is the only commentator, in any sports, ever, to read out stats from the screen! We can read!
He also changes his topic just to talk about what's on the screen. "This is good batting from... she seems to be enjoy the day and the popsicle."

Shamim is very knowledgeable. According to him Nafees was looking very solid.
Just after that comment Nafees got out!

Every time Shamim said Bangladesh doing well and batsman is solid we lost wicket, whole match I was praying so that he don't say these anymore but he still continued.

Shamim is a talking paradox who's vocabulary could be matched by most 12 year olds.

I will take Shamim any day but not that stammerer ! Ata badly needs to see a doctor to minimize his stammering problem.

^ Now that I'm in Dhaka, I have to say listening to the radio is definitely preferable to hearing Shamim and Atahar giving TV commentary. It might not be cerebral or particularly eloquent, but at least it's really funny.
Sometimes I think that we should have a BC version of Test Match Sofa, where we offer alternative commentary to the standard fare on TV. Would be amazing!
