So who is our best batsman? TI or SAH?
Tamim is often considered as BD's best batsman but stat wise Sakib is ahead.
Both scored seven international hundreds.
Tamim's ODI average is 30.07, Test avg 38.02
Sakib's ODI average is 35.63 & Test avg 35.12
Tamim has better techniques but Sakib has better temperament.
Although there is no big difference but still in my opinion Sakib is the better batsman because of his consistency & despite being a regular bowler.
let's see who gets more votes
PS: Still a little too early for Nasir,so I will wait, average wise he is better than both.

Talent wise Tamim is miles ahead he's a gift but just like Ashraful, doesn't make the most of it. Shakib is far more consistant than Tamim. They actually if they play to their full potential should average well over 40 but because they play so many silly shots, it brings both their averages down. Tamim should really be averaging up and around 45 in Tests and ODIs and Shakib just over 40 but they still bat like inexperienced players at times. I have no doubt that both Nasir and Anamul will become Bangladesh's best 2 batsman in the next 3 or so years. Nasir for example already averages more than 40 in Tests and ODIs and 35 in T20s.

But Tamim I'm really frustrated about because he's the same age as Virat Kohli and still doesn't average anywhere close to him. Tamim ODIs averaging 30 whereas Kohli averages a staggering 51. Tamim has been a joke in my eyes with all that talent going to waste.

Tamim is way ahead of Shakib when it comes to talent. But when it comes down to applying their skill on the pitch, Shakib is way ahead.
So, my vote goes to Shakib.

I used Kohli as an example to show how Tamim has been a waste. Scoring back to back 100s against dangerous pace bowlers on seaming tracks is a talented batsman under my eyes.

Talent my foot. Ashraful is better than Bradman when it comes to talent but when it comes to performance ash is worse than Rohan Gavaskar. And lol someone comparing Tamim with zkholi wat happened Sgebug vs Tamim. Or Gayle vs Tamim?

Tamim is like batsman Afridi. I hit or I miss. And thats his ishtyle. And it gets even worse when he tries to justify that..His style can be good, useful and crowd pleasing in ODIs and T20 but he is a PAIN to watch in test cricket. And most likely he hates to rotate strike too thanx to Toilakto Chorbi Jukto Khabar..
Shakib on the other hand is the best cricketer Bangladesh has ever produced. Its a crime to compare Shakib to Tamim
I really started to hate the term "Talent". Whats the point of having talent when you dont know how to apply? You can be a sharp student but if you leave your exam sheets blank, you'll get a big FAT Zero and that's what will show on your Transcript..

Tamim is already TWICE as good as Kohli will ever be in Tests. Write it down.
Back to topic, Shakib is the better batsman.

When Tamim's back is against the wall, he is as good as Shakib, if not better. Challenge him and he will deliver.

You shouldn't compare with talent. You have to measure a person with his performance. A lot of people have their talent but if he couldn't use it properly, it wouldn't be counted. But if you have a limited talent and you can use it properly, you will bring success in your life. So both of them have talent but they can't use it most of the times.
I see Nasir is consistent since his debut. And we can depend most of the times on him. So my vote is for Nasir.

No question it's Shakib. He has an average of a 50+ when winning against the G8 in ODIs whereas Tamim averages in the mid 30's. Their both as consistent as each other but the match winning ability of Shakib puts him ahead. Plus you have to think about how much he bowls whereas Tamim just focuses on his batting. Tamim has the better technique and feel he's the better batsman when on song but what's the point when you don't show it on the field?

Kohli plays much more match than tamim, mostly in their batting friendly pitches, in their own background, plus he has other batsman to support. Tamim didnt play for 11 months, despite having best form of his life

By the way, why are we comparing Tamim to Kohli? India's a top 4 nation in Tests and ODI's whereas we have no ranking points in Tests and #9 in ODIs. I'm sorry for being a downer because I'd love to say our players are better than India's in every department but the fact is we're not. We have quite a ways to go before comparing our players to India's.

Kohli averages better than Tamim in Tests also. Kohli has 13 ODI 100s in less than 90 ODI games whereas Tamim only has 3 lol in 113 ODI games big difference. Tamim has been a waste in my mind and lets the team down.

I was just showing how disappointing Tamim has been in the Bangladesh team he's very inconsistent and play silly shots all the time whereas the example I have used doesn't so he needs to learn. Tamim in Asia Cup got 4 50s but the way he got out in each of those 4 games was due to a silly shot. He should've got 4 100s the way he was going. Everyone knows Tamim is arrogant!

The difference between Shakib and Tamim is consistency!, Tamim has far more talent with the bat than Shakib but doesn't always show it on the field like Shakib so Shakib in my mind is a better batsman than Tamim at the moment.
