He probably learnt the phrase " nail in the coffin" but didn't know when to use it. Just like will Ferrell in Anchor man and the phrase " when in Rome"

scenario: mahmudullah pulls off during a delivery while bowling to sammy in the 50th over (BD vs WI: 4th ODI today)
shamim - 'sammy is too experienced a player to fall for that kind of crap'
what kind of commentary is this? does he even listen to what he is saying?

Shamim was praising Sammy of playing a captain's knock......when he was in the 30s
Anyone else notice how ecstatic he was when Sammy got his 50, it is like he scored a century or something lol.

Shamim has been a "revelation" in the comm box. Commentary was introduced to make it more interesting for tv viewers. Shamim has been "exemplary" in proving otherwise

Beshi kotha koi. Mostly ab-jab OFF-TOPIC kotha. This is not a radio commentary in the 70s.

Muchas gracias Simon for this thread. I really thank you from the bottom of my heart. Now I can read all that ShamCha while sipping my "cuppppa". You fancy a "cuppppa", bro?
The other day as Ed Rainsford was joining him for the commentary ShamCha was trying to impress "all and sundry" with his Espanol (this time) by saying "welcome EDwarDo" with a very anglicised "D". Ed was like, "what"! That was hilarious!

That was the best Shamim Cho moment of the night! Funny thing is when I saw that table on the screen I was thinking to myself ... this idiot probably thinks they're batting averages... i didn't even read the part where it said bowling avg but seriously when you see ODI avg's of 60s, 70s and 80s for Zim players how can you think they're anything but bowling avg's.
