Yeah definitely fielding as improved in some aspects. Diving catches have improved dramatically e.g. Taposh Ghosh's catch and Shuvagata's catch along with a few others. But when the ball's travelling towards the boundary not many players make a good effort to save the boundary. That's an area that needs to improve. Those saves in the outfield could well decide the match. I reckon if Bangladesh made a few good saves in the outfield in the Asia Cup final then you could have seen Bangladesh as Asia Cup champions.

That itself deserves a topic. Best catches of BPL. Taposh. Check. Then there was another by a white dude. Australian I think. Check. Also by a Zimbabwean dude. Forgot their names. Check. Someone compile them please.
Also Mushfiq continued to impress.

Local players lend edge to BPL
The high point of this season of the Bangladesh Premier League has been the performance of local players, especially the lesser known ones

I liked Muktar, mostly for how spirited he looks in the field. Seems to be a good utility player. His bowling needs work, but I don't see why he can't give likes of Abul a run for their money.

We simply have too many spinners. I wish we could trade them for some good pace bowlers.

If I remember correctly, Richard McCinnes had a very high hope of Shamsur Rahman when RM left from BD few years back. Now that RM is back, not sure if he had some influence on SR already. Either way, it is great to see SR performing very well in this BPL. Hope he continues this in national if recalled.

some people should have gotten more opportunity like alauddin babu (he has potential to be great allrounder), alamin, shaker, noor hossain, amit mazumder, mahmudul hasan, even marshall ayub not getting enough chances.
so far most impressive
shamsur
nasir
jahurul
mushfiq
enamul jr

I can see, Shamsur replacing Mominul. He is actually far away from this level...over hyped.

Shamsur and SN.
Before BPL started, If anyone ever told me that SN would top the chart after 8/9 round, I'd have asked him to pass it on, whatever he was smoking.

Don't forget about Imrul!!
Before this tournament i actually expected these lesser known players (ie Shamsur, Shabbir) to score more runs then the likes of Nafees, Nazim. So taking that into perspective i think Shahriar Nafees has stunned me the most. Honestly wtff is going on with him, he is scoring so many runs that at times i think i'm still in my world of sleep.

I'm proud to say Shahriar Nafees, Shamsur Rahman are the benchmark batsmen of the competition ahead of the likes of Brad Hodge, Azhar Mahmood, Owais Shah, Daniel Harris, Ravi Bopara and Travis Birt
