How do you cope?...
Well its not the first time we had been humiliated by others, not even the second or even the third time but the sorrow never eases.
Today I was at an 'adda session' with my Mrs' Bangladeshi friends, none of who knew that there is a Test going on between us and Zim. They knew I love cricket and wanted to put the IPL on TV for me but I said that it was ok and I was following the Test. When they asked me the score, I couldn't but hide my embarasment. I managed to change the topic without telling them the score. I am sure they probably were expecting such score but I didn't want to hear any insulting words against my team as I ran out of ammunition to depend them.
I first fell in love with Bangladesh cricket when Bangladesh was qualified to play the world cup 99 after beating Kenya in ICC championship. I remember watching our first match live from Chelmsford Essex against the Kiwis. We were absolutely rubbish. I can't remember our total score but I do remember we were 2 down even before arriving at the stadium for something like 11 runs. The match didn't last for very long; we were humiliated by the Kiwis but it didn't bother me much as I was proud just to be able to see my country, my 'tiger team' in the international arena.
Then came the Pakistan match, watched it with my dad, bro, an uncle and a senior friend. I couldn't believe what I saw that day. I couldn't but hide my tears of joy. I drove an hour with my friend to Brick Lane and danced on the street. On that day, I started to believe that yes we can also win and show the rest of the world that we are here, in the cricketing world, to stay.
So many heart breaking loses, so many humiliations since then but my belief and my love for cricket and sincerity to Bangladeshi cricket, like many of you, kept me going. Even after today's unbearable thrashing I could only say to myself - hey it can only get better from here!

I have a colleague who gloats a lot when Bangladesh loses a match. After Taylor scored 171, he called me and said "Tor Bagh-der kei molom joldi patah, tader haddi-githu nischoi onek betha kortesei". I'm dreading going to work tomorrow.

BTW losing to Zimbabwe one off is not a big deal..... This should have been an innings loss if not for poor zim decisions.....
I think we have progressed a lot we are OK...... Everyone loses to zim here and there. They are good team.

Learn to take it? Your post sounds super serious. It's all just a game.

You say they are Bangladeshis as well. So what if they had said something about the score? I'm sure it'd have been lighthearted. If they play bad, people will say lot of things. IDK why some people take it so personally.
