I'll take it as an inoffensive question. Yes, she does. How do I know? Because we talk to each other everyday. Whenever there is a problem (yes, we have had problems), we always talk to each other frankly until we can either clear the air or find a solution to the issues. As I said, a marriage is not a fairytale. It requires work and sacrifice to make it work.

If you feel suffocated then i suggest you take that plastic bag of your head.
Happiness is cricket and vice versa.

If that is the case, I pray that you find a good solution. Before doing anything else, consider marriage counseling. If an area Masjid has it, it the best. They have better understanding of the cultural and religious issues. If kindness (on your part) and counseling do not work, then some pairing are not meant to be.
After meeting Hitler, it is easy to fall into the trap of thinking everyone to be like that. Likewise, if one is in an unhappy marriage, everything can look bleak. However, like everything, there are happy marriages and there are unhappy ones.
Good luck!

3 things
There was a marriage in my family recently. I am not married but I still thought I could provide my cousin and her Groom some advice. Few things i learned from my married friends, I shared with them and sharing here -
- Keep Mutual Respect from the very beginning lovely days. Thank you, welcome, appreciate things like that, make it a practice. It helps preventing things getting really sour when its about to get sour.We Desis tend to say Jaaaan , Jaanu and waste it all in the begining, get too emotionally attacha and react similarly (emotionally) when things get sour. - facts learned from married friends.
- Never mention anything negative about any of your family members or friends. For example - my bro is a little hot headed, so remember that. Even though you said it with good heart and to make your bride/groom alert - unless he/she is a really mature person, this may just backfire when a couple has fights, these negatives becomes reference points against you. - facts learned from married friends.
- Surrender to Faith - I have seen 1 of my friends who were having really difficult time, manager her husband and herself to pray often. This amazingly helped both of her stay at ease and eventually trust each other more. May be this will help.
