Al Amin for rubel should be the only change, as said naeem should have played the 1st test but he didn't so Marshall should get a fair chance just like anamul should.

I think riyad will find it hard to make the test XI from here on out, he doesn't want to bat higher up and #3 is the only position still open where he might play, gazi can bat #8 so riyad isn't needed down the order any longer.

I think you meant to say why Mahmudullah is NOT in 1st test.
Team management dropped him because of his form and took Marshall / Mominul / Razzak over him because of team combination!

I think we might win this one and the series if the umpires don't screw us over.

I thought umpiring was good in the first test compared to other tests we have played before.

Every time Riyad offered to bat up re has refused. Ultimately he is in the Bink of extinction.
From cricinfo: " According to sources, Mahmudullah, currently out
of favour in Test cricket, was asked whether he
would take over the No.3 role. He wasn't too keen,
it was learned. There were also thoughts of
promoting Mominul or sticking in Jahurul Islam, as
Anamul Haque would be opening the innings with
Tamim Iqbal."

Riyad just ended his test career IMHO. I wonder why he lacks motivation?

yeah it will be tough for him to break into the test team now. they offered him the #3 spot despite his poor test record up the order, so they already gave him an opportunity they didn't need to give him and he turned it down, as long as sohag can make enough runs then i don't see how riyad will get into the test side, shakib, mushy, nasir and mominul are performing to well for him to break into the middle order.

i agree with u, but hey in cricket nothing is granted. couple of bad performance, some good performance by Mahmudullah on one days might turn things around. the best thing about Mahmudullah is that he is a cool headed player, and our team need it. its also good to have a nice back up in-case someones get injured or something...

I want to win this test. Mirpur wicket have lot more bounce than CTG. For bounce I am not getting enough courage to win the match. We lost the last test against WI from a very good position. WI pacers just ruined our hope.

Shakib and mushy have performed for long enough to be backed through a slump, mushy especially since he's also captain. Nasir maybe, and also mominul but I don't think riyad likes the #4 spot so that pretty much relegates him to nasir's spot. Also naeem has been performing much better than riyad domestically and in his recent test opportunities so I reckon he could if he hasn't already jump riyad in the back-up queue.

Mirpur is always low scoring... plus batsmen can't play stroke without being settle... being patience would be the only way to win... and of-course spin will take a huge role here...

it was all Tino, NZ doesn't have anyone with the pace of Tino, so there's hope

You dont need Tino or Tino pace to see BD batsman taking a long walk.

If he roars, we will witness Bangla wash 2.0. Nasir needs to be his cool best as well. I am worried about their new bowler Mitchell McClenaghan. Left arm speedster with an unbelievable SR rate and average. He hasn't played a single game at subcontinent though. If we can neutralize him....I think we have a great chance.
